Adele Has Some Good Reasons For Being Terrified Of Fame

11/4/2015 10:12am EST
Adele Says The Idea Of Fame 'Terrifies' Her
Adele revealed that although she is one of the best-known singers in the world, the idea of fame terrifies her.

Adele released her first single off of her first album in three years, "Hello" to huge acclaim by both the music industry and fans.

In the span of fewer than two weeks, Adele has staged a comeback of epic proportions but admits that the idea of the level of fame she's achieved "terrifies " her.

"People think I hate being famous and I don't. I'm really frightened of it," she said in an interview with Rolling Stone.

"I think it's really toxic, and I think it's really easy to be ...

5 Seconds Of Summer Bests Carrie Underwood

11/3/2015 8:30am EST
5 Seconds Of Summer Bests Carrie Underwood For No. 1 On Billboar
On the Billboard 200 this week, it was youth that prevailed in a race for the number one spot. In the end, Aussie band 5 Seconds of Summer scored atop the Billboard 200 for a second consecutive time with Sounds Good Feels Good. While Sounds Good Feels Good was unable to top the numbers put up by their 2014 self-titled debut album, the 192,000 units easily trumped the more modest numbers put up by Pentatonix’s chart-topping album last week. Of those 192,000 units, 93% were pure sales.

As disappointing as it may be for the once unstoppable Carrie Underwood to be beat for the top spot, Unde...

Albums Featuring Numbers in Their Titles, Since 2000
Ah, what’s in an album title? A lot, depending on the respective album. In the case of the albums that grace this list, numbers play a role in the title and in some cases have significance. In other cases, the numbers are merely an easy way to keep up with the album number. Regardless, here’s a list of albums featuring numbers in their title – all since 2000 – and the meaning of the album’s title.

1) All of Adele's albums

Pop superstar Adele seems to love numbers, particularly her ages. All three of Adele’s studio albums (19, 21, and 25) all feature numbers in the title. While it might ...

Adele Celebrates Her Birthday By Dressing In George Michael Drag
Adele makes a surprisingly great George Michael! For the British singer's birthday, she did herself up like the former Wham! singer- aviators, facial scruff, pompadour and a leather jacket. It's actually pretty good.

Adele posted a set of the pics to Twitter, along with a birthday-themed caption: "Thank you for the birthday wishes I had a wonderful time! I was my hero x #gottahavefaith."

But the best part? George Michael tweeted back! A few hours later he posted a response to Adele's birthday impression.

13 Songs With ‘Only’ In The Title (Volume 1)
Ah the beauty of ‘only’ songs – those classics that feature one pivotal word within their title. What word is it that is pivotal you ask? Well, that word is what one suspects – ONLY! Think about it, how many songs feature the ubiquitous, inescapable adjective, adverb, or conjunction? The answer is a lot. One list can’t house so many ‘only’ songs. That said the 13-featured songs of ‘Songs With ‘Only’ In The Title (Volume 1),’ is a starting place. After such a wacky, melodramatic intro, here are the ‘only’ songs in all their ‘only’ glory!

Adele Teases New Album, World Music Awards Spills The Beans
Adele was being coy when it came to revealing her next album, but it appears it has all been spoiled by the Twitter account of the World Music Awards.

Back in May, Adele wrote after her 26th birthday, "Bye Bye 25... see you again later in the year." Adele's previous albums were titled 19 and 21, with 21 coming out in 2011. If Adele were to release her third album four years later, it would make sense to name it 25.

Bye bye 25... See you again later in the year x

Well, The World Music Awards appeared to confirm 25 will be ...

2014 Grammy Awards Reactions: The Triumphs And Fails
Another year and another Grammys ceremony has come and passed. As always, there were moments that thrilled while others made me curse under my breath. Luckily, as a music journalist, this guy has learned how to think like the Recording Academy, hence the accuracy of many of my picks this year. Still, even being correct, you have to wonder what the Academy is thinking sometimes. Yes, I’m specifically referencing the fact that Kendrick Lamar was shut out – ridiculous! But here goes nothing examining the awards given.

Adele Tops Britain's Richest Young Musicians List

4/11/2013 7:37pm EDT
Adele has taken the top spot on Sunday Times' list of Britain's richest young musicians thanks to an estimated $48 million fortune.

Adele will turn 25 next month on May 13, but she has already won an Oscar for her James Bond theme Skyfall and has earned approximate $16 million in the last 12 months.

The sudden influx of cash over the last year has put her ahead of other British musicians such as Cheryl Cole ($22 million), Leona Lewis ($19 million), Katie Melua ($19 million), and Florence Welch ($14 million).

Despite those nice numbers, they pale in comparison to veterans of the industry....

Joan Rivers
Joan Rivers won't back down from her criticism of Adele's weight - and has responded to haters with even more fat jokes.

Last month, Rivers was on David Letterman's late night show when she suggested Adele should rename her song "Rolling in the Deep" to "Rolling in the Deep Fried Chicken."

Last week, when asked about the comments by Huffington Post, Rivers doubled down: "She's a chubby lady who's very, very rich, and she should just calm down -- or lose weight!"

"She wanted an apology, so I took an ad out on her a**. I said, 'You are not fat.' And then I had room for a lot of other ads,...

85th Academy Awards Fashion: The Best & Worst

85th Academy Awards Fashion: The Best & Worst
The biggest event of the year in Hollywood took place on Sunday night - The 85th Annual Academy Awards - and the stars primped and preened for their red carpet appearances.

There weren't any major fashion flubs (and admit it, that's one of the reasons you tuned in to watch!) but there were a few style missteps. For example, usually a "best" list regular, Halle Berry looked a little too space age in a black and silver heavily striped Versace gown.

Kristen Stewart also disappointed in a Remm Acra lace dress that didn't do much for her skin tone nor her figure.

Conversely, Jennifer Aniston'...

Lopez was on stage to present the award with rapper Pitbull, and when Adele's name was read Sediuk got up and also climbed on stage.

He was arrested after the incident and jailed on trespassing charges. A court date is set for next month.

The journalist told The Hollywood Reporter afterward that since ...
