Newcomer, Unknown Cast As Timbaland & Missy Elliott In Aaliyah B
Canadian actor Izaak Smith and newcomer Chattrisse Dolabaille have been cast to producer Timbaland and rapper Missy Elliott in the upcoming Lifetime Aaliyah biopic.

Smith starred in "Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief" and "Mirror, Mirror." Dolabaille is making her professional debut in "Aaliyah: Princess of R&B."

Fans aren't exactly thrilled with the casting and have voiced their concerns online. Several have complained that the light-skinned Dolabaille looks nothing like Elliott, who is known for being short and on the heavier side.

Teen star Zendaya Coleman is set to star in a new Lifetime movie about late R&B singer Aaliyah.

Zendaya will portray the singer in "Aaliyah: Princess of R&B," which will be adapted from author Christopher Farley's biography of the late singer, titled "Aaliyah: More Than a Woman."

Zendaya will re-record four of Aaliya's singles for the film, which will chronicle her career from her first appearance on TV's "Star Search" in 1989, when she was just 10-years-old, through her rise to fame, according to Variety magazine.

Eleven years after her death in a plane crash, Drake released an official colloboration with Aaliyah on his website and at the OVO Festival in Toronto, Canada.

"Enough Said" features unreleased vocals from the singer, who died at age 22 in 2001.

The recording artist is reportedly expected to executive produce Aaliyah's upcoming posthumous album. According to HipHopDX, details surrounding the project are scarce; however, in March, producer Jeffrey "J. Dub" Walker said an unreleased song titled "Steady Ground" will appear on the project.

R. Kelly's autobiography "Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me" comes out this week with one glaring omission: there's no mention of his infamous sex tape, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

In February 2002, a sex tape was delivered anonymously to the Sun-Times' offices. They handed it to police because it seemed an underage female appeared on it. Kelly had to go to court, but he was acquitted after the judge ruled that the prosecution could not introduce as evidence photographs found on a digital camera during a raid at the singer's home in Davenport, Florida.
