You Again
Last Thursday I went to see “Easy A” starring Emma Stone, who has come into the mainstream with roles in “Superbad” and “Zombieland.” Stone plays Olive, a teenager that discovers the danger of rumors in high school the hard way. Olive unintentionally starts a rumor that she had sex and pretty soon it spreads to the entire school. She establishes a certain reputation among her peers for it, which at first she relishes. Freida Pinto sizzles in a GQ photo shoot while wearing high-heels and a short dress. She also talked about her career and how it suddenly exploded thanks to Oscar winning Slumdog Millionaire - and how she plans to move on and continue acting.

While Slumdog Millionaire brought Freida Pinto and her boyfriend Dev Patel world-wide fame, the non-stop coverage brought her down: "I felt like people almost got fed up with seeing our faces splattered all over the place," before later saying, "I was like, 'Damn it! I'm not going to get anything serious after [Slumdog Millionaire]!"

Despite her own ...

the town
This fall, moviegoers have an extremely large and diverse selection of movies to choose from. The abundance of (hopefully) promising films is unlike any year in recent memory as movies of all kind are set to release during the crucial and often divisive awards season.

This September audiences are in for a slew of independent films that are as different as they are engaging. George Clooney will star in “The American” (Sept. 1), directed by Anton Corbijn whose 2007 film “Control” earned strong praise and attention. The movie is a throwback to the international spy thrillers of the 70s and c...

Adrien Brody
Adrien Brody is going to be spending his summer working with Woody Allen. He’s joined the cast of Allen’s Midnight in Paris with Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates and Owen Wilson. It’s just a small part though.

“It’s a cameo,” Brody said. “It’ll be a lot of fun and it will be a chance to reunite with Owen. Not bad. Pretty good way to spend the summer. It’s not the whole summer. I wish it was the whole summer.”

The Oscar winning Brody didn’t have to audition per se, but he still had to impress Allen. It wasn’t just a cold offer. “No, I wish things were that easy. No, we met, to...
