B-Movies: The Best Of The Worst

July 10th, 2008 10:09am EDT
B-Movies The Best Of The Worst
Who's to say that the best movies are actually good? Sure, we've all seen some of the best movies ever made, but then again we've all seen some pretty bad movies too. After all, You Don't Mess With The Zohan made over $95 million since its release - that's a lot of people seeing one dumb movie.

However, sometimes a film can be so absolutely wretched that it comes full circle into being good again; at this point, you've entered the territory of the bad B-movie. B-movies walk a thin line between incredibly entertaining and downright unbearable. In order to get the most out of these movi...

Celebrity Fashion Review: Summer Calling

June 9th, 2008 10:48am EDT
Emmanuelle Chriqui
It is officially summer time. What a better season for celebrities to expose more skin than usual? Hold on, we take that back. Celebrities are always showing off skin. It's a 365 day job; however, while some are willing to show off their assets others are not always as keen. Or, if they do show off anything, it would have been best if they hadn't at all.

Summer Dos

At the 2008 World Ocean Day event on June 4, Amber Valletta was all legs in a simple black pencil skirt with a head turning side split. We love how she kept it feminine with a lovely lace deep v-neckline top. Ke...

Adam Sandler is White Ladies Man in Judd Apatow's 'You Don’t Mess With the Zohan'

June 6th, 2008 9:44am EDT
You Don
(HollywoodChicago.com) – In the relatively anemic anthology of recent Adam Sandler flops, “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” hangs above with comedic charm and a nonsensically amusing plotline. The story is divisively intermingled with racial and ethnic sensitivities between the Israelis and Palestinians.

At first, it even feels like a scribe sat down for a few weeks, slammed back a few brewskies and toked daily on the good ganja while attempting to ink a forcefully novel plot.

In You Don't Mess with the Zohan, Emmanuelle Chriqui stars as Dalia: a Palestinian immigrant to New York an...

A Look At Adam Sandler's Standout Movies

June 5th, 2008 11:40am EDT
Adam Sandler
Of all the major stars today, not many cause such a divisive "love him or hate him" argument like Adam Sandler. Though if one can make it through the outstretched arms of his rabid fan base, and before you reach the angry mobs of critics and "haters" there is a very fascinating middle ground of people who are "intrigued" to say the least with Sandler's acting ability (in full disclosure the author of this piece falls into that "intrigued middle ground"). When given the right script Sander has proven time after time that he has true acting ability (see numbers 1, 3 and 5), and the intrigue ...

Notes & Quotes

March 20th, 2008 8:00pm EDT
Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey sings the National Anthem at a hacky sack tournament in Adam Sandler's new comedy You Don't Mess With The Zohan.

Halle Berry has named her new-born daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry. She says, "We didn't have a name picked out until just before we left the hospital. For us it was hard to name the most important person in our life until we met her."

"I don't have a persona. I just am who I am. I said 'f---' in an interview once, and my publicist was like, 'Good! It gives you edge!' I was like, 'What do you mean? I need an edge? Well, I can say f--- in another interview.'" A...

Adam Sandler Gives Mariah Carey Special Gift

March 13th, 2008 5:45pm EDT
Mariah Carey
Marilyn Monroe-obsessed Mariah Carey recently received a special gift from funnyman Adam Sandler - a replica of the movie icon's 'leaning board.' Sandler heard the pop superstar, who owns Monroe's piano, was looking for a film prop similar to the one her heroine used for costume changes on movie sets - and realized he had one.

The comedian gave Carey the board as a thank-you to her for appearing in his new film You Don't Mess With The Zohan.

Carey says, "When actresses of the day had to be sewn into costumes they had to use a leaning board. Adam had one from an old movie and I rea...
