Meet Legendary 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' Composer John Ottman
John Ottman is one of the biggest composers in the film business. Coming off his work on the smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, John sat down with us for San Diego Comic-Con to discuss his work on a myriad of superhero films, his frequent collaborations with Bryan Singer, and how he's thrived for more than twenty years not only as a composer, but also as an equally talented film editor.

How would he say things are different now compared to when he began his career in 1993? "In some ways, nothing's changed at all, save for the fact I need more sleep as I get older," he laughed. "But the ...

Sony Working On Female 'Spider-Man' Film, Adds Carnage To 'Venom
Sony is changing gears, apparently intent on making their Spider-Man films the equivalent of Marvel's Avengers and filling the gaps with secondary character films.

The studio has pushed back The Amazing Spider-Man 3 to 2018 after flooding the market with Spidey films every two years or so. In order to stand up against the giant ensemble super hero flicks from Marvel and FOX, Sony has begun work on Sinister Six, Venom, and now an untitled female centered film.

Deadline reports writer Lisa Joy has been hired to pen a female superhero film based on the properties Sony purchased from Marvel –...

'Days of Future Past' is Wicked Entertaining and Morally Complex
In Bryan Singer’s sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past, the emotional stakes are much higher than in his previous films X-Men and X-Men 2. That’s because mutants aren’t just ostracized for being different, they’re attacked as an entire species. Days of Future Past is more engaging due to the morally complex evolutionary battle that mankind wages against mutants in its attempt to defy Darwinism by any means necessary.

Humanity’s extreme measures involve deadly robots called sentinels designed to exterminate mutants. In the movie’s opening, we see a war torn future where the sentinels have kill...

'X-Men Days Of Future Past' Does Marvel And Stan Lee Proud

X-Men: Days of Future Past
Directed by Brian Singer and shot in 3D, ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is one exciting ride and definitely one of the best films in the X-Men series.

The film starts out in the extremely bleak future. Not only for mutants, but for humans as well, thanks to these huge killing machines, known as the Sentinels.

What are the Sentinels you ask? Basically unstoppable robots which are programmed not only to track down and kill mutants, but murder any human that will give birth to a mutant or is a mutant sympathizer. So to say that mutants and humans are almost extinct, would be an und...

Ranking the "X-Men's" Powers by Deadliness
The "X-Men" franchise is the most popular comic book ensemble on film, combining the varying powers of brilliant and misguided mutants as they battle for political justice and save ther from extinction. Some of their powers are overblown and in your face, like Storm's ability to manipulate weather patterns and Magneto's control over all things metal.

Others are more discreet and deadly, like Mystique's ability to cloak herself under anyone's skin, and Professor X's penchant for invasive psychosis. Regardless of size or steel, these powers are sharp, cutting and are the perfect tools to sto...

'X-Men: Days of Future Past' Final Trailer Released: All Of Your
"In the future, do I make it?" Asks Nicholas Hoult's Beast. "No," Hugh Jackman's Wolverine simply replies.

It's cliché, but that stakes really couldn't be any higher for the X-Men in the final trailer for Days of Future Past before its release on May 23. With Sentinels killing mutants and humans alike, Wolverine's mind is sent back to his past self so he can convince Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) to work with Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and prevent a dystopian future from happening.

As revealed in the new trailer (to the tune of Led Zeppelin's Kashmir), Wolverine's first step is to rec...

X-Men Days Of Future Past
The first full-length trailer for next spring's X-Men: Days of Future Past was relesed on Tuesday, and the new clip gives quick glimpses of some new characters and confirms what the title suggests: time travel.

The film brings the cast of the first three X-Men films together with that of 2011 prequel X-Men: First Class and "the overall tone is a bit darker than previous films, particularly because of the stakes," according to director Bryan Singer, who answered fan questions during a fan chat on Twitter Monday.

Last week, director James Cameron promised not one, not two, but three sequels to his hit film Avatar.

Hot off the success of the 2009 film, Cameron revealed that there were plenty more tales to tell about the planet Pandora and its race of blue beings - the Na'vi.

Cameron plans on shooting the three sequels simultaneously, and he's got four new screenwriters on board to help him pen the three stories.

"Building upon the world we created with Avatar has been a rare and incredibly rewarding experience," the director said in a statement. "In writing the new films, I've come to realize that...

Saturday was a huge day at this year's Comic Con, especially for Marvel studios.

The superhero movie-making factory had quite a few announcements to make, sending fans who were there (and who weren't there) into a frenzy over what's coming in the next two years.

To start, actor Tom Hiddleston reprised his role as Loki from "The Avengers," and the upcoming "Thor: The Dark World," trying hard to keep a straight face while in character to present the trailer for the "Thor" sequel.

Marvel also previewed next summer's sequel "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and the highly anticipated "Gu...

X-Men: First Class
Jennifer Lawrence will be spared the body paint that gave her an allergic reaction when she reprises her role as Mystique in upcoming superhero movie X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

The Oscar winner suffered for her art while filming X-Men prequel X-Men: First Class as she sat in the make-up chair for up to eight hours a day being covered in paint to play the blue-skinned shape shifter.

A specialist doctor was even called to the set to tend to the actress when her skin broke out in rashes and boils, but now Lawrence is breathing a sigh of relief after learning she will wear a bodysuit when ...

Hugh Jackman
Bryan Singer has reportedly offered Hugh Jackman a spot in the swelling cast of his upcoming film, X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Earlier this week we reported that Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart were signed on to play Magneto and Professor X respectively. However, the comic book storyline the film is named after centers around Wolverine and Kitty Pryde - and Singer now has half of that duo in Jackman.

Ellen Page played Pryde in X-Men: The Last Stand, and there's sure to be an announcement on her involvement soon enough.

What remains to be seen is how the cast of X-Men: First Class will b...
