Review: A Fan's Reaction to 'Watchmen'

March 5th, 2009 11:09am EST
Watchmen
I grew up in a comic book store, so most of my days after school were spent sitting in a beanbag chair reading graphic novels. It has been a fairly exciting few years for comic fans with the emergence of the mainstream embracing what used to be considered a nerdy habit. With big blockbuster movies like Spider-Man, X-Men, and The Dark Knight taking over the Entertainment industry, it is easier to forgive bad comic movies like Catwoman or Daredevil because at least they're getting these stories out there. At least people are starting to know and love what we've known and loved for decades. Ye...

Comic book films have always been popular, dating back to the movie serials of the 1940s featuring Superman, Batman, and Flash Gordon, just to name a few. Christopher Reeve's "Superman" in 1978...
