Joey King
White House Down star Joey King has been cast to play a young woman who helps to bring polygamist Mormon leader Warren Jeffs to justice in a TV film.

The 14 year old will star in Outlaw Prophet as Elissa Wall, who was forced by Jeffs, the Texas leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, to marry her 19-year-old cousin when she was 14.

In 2006, Wall pressed charges against Jeffs and he was subsequently sentenced to serve 10 years to life in prison in Utah for two counts of being an accomplice to rape.

However, he was released by the Utah Supreme Court in 201...

Monsters University
"Monster's University" graduated at the top of the box office after making $46.1 million over the weekend. Billy Crystal voices Mike while John Goodman is Sulley in a film about how the pair of monsters overcame their differences and became the best of friends even though they couldn't stand each other when they first met.

Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock's cop comedy "The Heat" came in second place with earnings of $40 million. Last weekend's number two, "World War Z," starring Brad Pitt, took the third slot with takings of $29.8 million.

Coming in a disappointing fourth place was Ch...

'Monsters University' Holds Off 'The Heat' For Top Box Office spot

June 30th, 2013 1:37pm EDT
Monsters University
Monsters University may have held off The Heat for top spot at the box office, but The Heat did well for an R-rated comedy that was out-promoted by White House Down.

White House Down, which spent plenty of money for spots during the NBA Finals and across TV, could only take a distant third with $26.6 million. Monsters University took around $46 million and The Heat earned $40 million. World War Z and Man of Steel round out the top 5 at $29 million and $21 million, respectively.

It's quite possible crowds were either confused by fellow "White House attacked" film Olympus Has Fallen, or fou...

The Morning Roundup: Tatum & Fox Deliver In 'White House Down,' Zach Braff Heading To Broadway, Oprah's Power

White House Down
If "White House Down" looks familiar it's because it's very similar to "Olympus Has Fallen," which was released back in March. Only this time it's better. The film stars Channing Tatum and Jamie Fox, who have great onscreen chemistry; and it totally delivers in the action department. This is what big budget summer movies are supposed to be. Check out the (review.)

Actor James Gandolfini was laid to rest Thursday and numerous stars were among the 1500-strong who attended his funeral service at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in Manhattan. Several of the star's former "Sopranos" castm...

'White House Down' Review: You've Seen It Before But This Time It's Better

June 28th, 2013 7:05am EDT
White House Down
Channing Tatum plays John Cale, a U.S. Capitol policeman, who is trying really hard to be a good dad to his preteen daughter Emily (Joey King).  John, in the past, had trouble holding down a job, had problems with authority and was your basic screw up.

However the guy wasn't a complete loser...far from it.  Cale completed three tours of duty in Afghanistan and during one of them, he just happened to save the life of a fellow soldier. And not just any soldier. This one is the son of the Speaker of the House (Richard Jenkins).

The Speaker repaid Cale by hiring him as a part of his security ...

White House Down3-20130521-152.jpg
In the new action movie "White House Down," an aspiring Secret Service Agent played by Channing Tatum steps up to protect the president (Jamie Foxx) when the White House faces a terrorist attack. To get the president safely out of the White House, Tatum and Foxx hop into The Beast, a replica of President Obama's limo. I got the opportunity to head over to the Sony lot and take The Beast for a test drive.

The real presidential limo is known as a "panic room on wheels." Aside from the bulletproof  glass, it can go into full lock down mode if a threat presents itself. In case of emergency, a ...

Nicolas Wright Gets His Break With 'White House Down'

June 23rd, 2013 11:10am EDT
Nicolas Wright
Could Nicolas Wright be the coolest tour guide ever?

In the much-hyped White House Down, which hits theaters next week, Nicolas plays the seemingly average role of Donnie Donaldson, White House tour guide. But he's not just shepherding tourists to the gift shop. When the building is attacked by domestic terrorists, Donnie finds himself in the middle of the action. "Most of my time is with Joey King, and then also Channing [Tatum] as well," Nicolas explained. "They're on the tour when the incursion happens. And then they're separated and that's the moment when the White House goes down. He ...

June 19th, 2013 3:20am EDT
Jamie Foxx
New dad Channing Tatum, his White House Down co-star Jamie Foxx and a host of famous faces have teamed up to shoot a racy new sex anthem.

The duo appeared on U.S. comedian Jimmy Kimmel's post-Oscars show in February (13) and ad-libbed their way through comedy song (I Wanna) Channing All Over Your Tatum - and they were game enough to shoot a promo for the suggestive song, which debuted on Kimmel's Game Night special on Tuesday (18Jun13).

Tatum urged his Twitter.com followers to check out the skit, writing, "I'm in one of the strangest music videos of all time with @iamJamieFoxx @MileyCyrus...
