Director Jonathan Levine On Undead Romance In 'Warm Bodies' And More

June 5th, 2013 10:18am EDT
Warm Bodies
A filmmaker with a knack for creating very memorable work so far, Director Jonathan Levine has managed to carve out a name for himself with merely a handful of stellar films.  One of his first, the five-star Amber Heard starring horror outing "All The Boys Love Mandy Lane," was hailed by critics (myself included!) as a real unique stamp on a familiar genre.  He followed it up with the very touching coming of age drama called "The Wackness" and finally topped it off with the comedy/drama balancing act "50/50" with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen.  His latest is no less original, taking t...

Nicholas Hoult Struggled With Brain Munching Scenes In 'Warm Bodies'

February 1st, 2013 3:52pm EST
Warm Bodies
Actor Nicholas Hoult struggled to stomach the fake brains he munched for new zombie movie Warm Bodies because it was made of soggy sponge cake.

The British star plays the role of R, who wanders around a post-apocalyptic America feeding off humans, and during one scene he kills Perry Kelvin, played by Dave Franco, and eats his brains.

Prop experts threw together several ingredients to make the fake brains, and Hoult admits the concoction wasn't very appetizing.

He tells JustJared.com, "The human brain was like a peach, soft, wet, spongy sort of thing, and then bits of grapefruit and st...

Review: 'Warm Bodies' Is Surprisingly Touching And Witty

February 1st, 2013 2:12pm EST
Warm Bodies
Zombies...in love.  Since the inception of the walking ghouls started by George A. Romero back in 1968 with "Night of the Living Dead" audiences have pretty much seen every undead emotion the stone faced flesh eaters have managed to muster up.  Anger, hunger, fury and even a pinch of sadness (via Romero’s most advanced undead icon Bub in "Day of the Dead!") have all been on display at some point or another, but romantic feelings are a new one.  As evidenced in the new take on zombie lore entitled "Warm Bodies," a sweet film with both comedy and a surprisingly touching tone, even those with ...

Warm Bodies Poster
Am I the only one flabbergasted that “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters,” is Number 1 at the box office right now? I still haven’t watched it yet, but I’ve heard from several colleagues that it’s terrible, and not in the awesomely bad way. Did you like the film? Leave me a comment telling me why you enjoyed it so much. Maybe you’ll convince me to give it a shot.

I’m quite sad by how hard Arnold’s comeback film “The Last Stand” is tanking at the box office. I know a lot of people have written him off as an action hero; however I urge them to give this movie a chance. It’s not a masterpiece o...

Hot Young Hollywood Stars (& Zombies) Show Up To 'Warm Bodies' Premiere

January 30th, 2013 8:47am EST
Teresa Palmer
Many up-and-coming Hollywood stars and starlets attended the "Warm Bodies" Los Angeles Premiere on Tuesday.

In the film, a tormented zombie (Nicholas Hoult) transforms his life after dating the daughter (Teresa Palmer) of a military leader charged with eradicating the walking dead.

Aussie actress Palmer (above) looked stunning in a black lace dress that showed off some of her cleavage. She has appeared in the films "The Grudge 2," "December Boys," "Kids in America" and "I Am Number Four." We have a feeling the pretty blonde 26-year-old star is going to have a long career in Hollywood.
