Reese Witherspoon was hospitalized on Wednesday after she was hit by a car while jogging.

The Walk the Line star was running in Santa Monica, California when she was mowed down by a vehicle motoring along at approximately 20 miles per hour, according to police reports.

She was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where she received treatment for minor injuries.

A statement from her representative reads, "The actress was not seriously injured and is resting comfortably at home."

Walk the Line star Ginnifer Goodwin has filed court papers in Los Angeles to officially change her birth name to her stage name.

The actress was born Jennifer, but adopted the moniker Ginnifer to set her apart when her career took off - and now she wants the misspelling on her official documents.

She filed legal papers requesting the change on Thursday, according to TMZ.com.

And Goodwin is set for another name change when she weds fiance Joey Kern. The two became engaged at Christmas.
