Top 10 James Bond Theme Songs

The 2013 Oscars will feature a 50th Anniversary celebration of James Bond in the movies.

The tribute to tribute Ian Fleming's secret agent 007 will include a performance of a medley of Bond theme songs from Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones and Adele.

Five of the six actors to portray James Bond on film will join the singers on stage.

Pierce Brosnan declined his invitation to participate, leaving Sean Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton and Daniel Craig one Bond short.

Ian Fleming based his James Bond character on composer Andrew Lloyd Webber's former father-in-law.

The theatre impresario's TV personality daughter Imogen has revealed the writer drew inspiration for his superspy from her grandfather.

She says, "He's based on my mother's father. He served under Ian Fleming in the war in naval intelligence, and my grandfather is one of the men James Bond is based upon. It's a very cool claim to fame."

Denise Richards has topped a list of the worst Bond girls. Richards, who played Dr. Christmas Jones opposite Pierce Brosnan's 007 in The World Is Not Enough, beat out competition from A View To A Kill's Tanya Roberts and Moonraker's Corinne Clery to claim Entertainment Weekly's unflattering number-one spot.

Meanwhile, Ursula Andress was named the publication's favorite Bond girl, followed by Goldfinger's Honor Blackman and On Her Majesty's Secret Service's Diana Rigg.

Canadian actress Lois Maxwell has died. She was 80. The Golden Globe-winning star - famed for her role as Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond movies - died at the Fremantle Hospital, Western Australia, on Saturday evening.

Maxwell starred alongside Sean Connery in Bond's first movie Dr. No, in 1962. She played the role until 1985, when she appeared in A View To A Kill with Roger Moore.

She last appeared on the big screen in the 2001 thriller The Fourth Angel alongside Forest Whitaker and Jeremy Irons.

Actress/singer Grace Jones is nursing a broken arm after an accident with her dance partner. The former Bond girl was showing off her moves at last month's Meltdown festival at London's Royal Festival Hall when calamity struck.

She explains, "Goran (dance partner) and I were dancing this fantastic tango to Japanese jazz when he sat on my arm." Jones sported a pink plaster cast on her injury watching matches at the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships on Tuesday.
