British pop singer Will Young has actor Bob Hoskins to thank for his new stage career, because it was the portly Unleashed star who told him to try his hand at theatre.

* Milla Jovovich will return to zombie slaying when she begins filming the third installment in the Resident Evil franchise in April. The 30-year-old actress will reprise her role as Alice in “Resident Evil: Extinction,” in which her character has to decrypt a virus threatening the human race. Russell Mulcahy will direct the film. The first two Resident Evil movies took more than $600 million worldwide.

Morgan Freeman wants to be the Devil. The actor says he's fed up of playing good guys in his movies and wants to immerse himself in a more sinister character. Freeman, who played God in 'Bruce Almighty', said: "I have a fantasy, to tell you the truth, that I should play the Devil. If I could interest the right people."

Chinese superstar Jet Li is retiring from Kung Fu films because he wants to be recognized as an actor, rather than a marital arts expert. The Hero star, 42, told students at China's prestigious Fudan University he is keen to make more philosophical movies and would welcome another collaboration with French director Luc Besson.
