Trouble With The Curve
An aging baseball scout (Clint Eastwood) with failing sight hits the road with his estranged daughter (Amy Adams) to pursue a promising young ballplayer, and they learn just how much they have in common as they make their way from Georgia to North Carolina in "Trouble With The Curve."

For decades, Gus Lobel (Eastwood) has been one of the best scouts in Major League Baseball. But these days his eyes just aren't what they used to be, and as a phenomenal young batter enters the draft, the owners of the Atlanta Braves cast a shadow of doubt over Gus' judgment. Meanwhile, his daughter Mickey ( ...

5 Favorite Father & Daughter Movies

Trouble with the Curve
'Trouble with the Curve' opened in movie theatres Friday starring Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams. Eastwood plays an aging Atlanta Braves baseball scout who takes his daughter (Adams) on his final trip to prove his worth to the organization. Adams plays his daughter (Mickey) and in their travels, she starts to take an active role to make up for his failing vision. Reviews have been mixed and with week box office numbers coming in, it's apparently played to some empty seats (couldn't help that one).

To honor the great Father - Daughter movies out there, we thought it would be appropriate to lo...

Review: 'Trouble With The Curve' Predictable But Still Worth A Visit

September 21st, 2012 2:00pm EDT
'Trouble With The Curve'
'Trouble with the Curve' is -- a) corny - b) nothing you haven't seen before and - c) totally entertaining.

Clint Eastwood is Gus, an aging baseball scout for the Atlanta Braves. Gus has more than a few problems. He's losing his eyesight, has trouble peeing, his contract expires with the team in three months and might not be renewed.

Oh, did I mention that his relationship with his high powered lawyer daughter, Mickey (Amy Adams) is far from great. In fact it sucks.

Amy and Gus are total polar opposites. Gus hates technology, thinks computers are a ridiculous way of tracking a players s...

Dredd 3D Poster
The perils of law enforcement is a major theme at the box office this week with the release of “Dredd 3D” and “End of Watch.” Although they are two very different types of movies about cops, both are immensely enjoyable in their own ways. That’s why they’re my picks for this week. Also arriving in theaters are “Trouble with the Curve,” “House at the End of the Street,” and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.”

MY PICK: “Dredd 3D” and “End of Watch”

DREDD 3D

Much of America in the future has become a wasteland. Stretching from Boston to Washington DC is Mega City One, a sprawling vio...

Pop star-turned-actor Justin Timberlake has credited Amy Adams, his co-star in new film Trouble With The Curve, with saving his life during a frozen lake scene in the movie.

The Social Network star reveals he was beginning to lose consciousness and turn blue with the extreme cold and he would have sparked a medical emergency on the set if it wasn't for his new movie love interest's attentive nature.

He explains, "We shot the scene in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the water was just below fifty degrees. It was freezing. Amy actually saved my life. Unbeknownst to me, I was turning blue and...
