Probing his phobias and neuroses, a documentary on this generation's noble scion of Scandinavian cinema--Lars von Trier who directed "Breaking the Waves" (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France/1996), "Zentropa" (Denmark, France, Sweden, Germany/1991), and "The Kingdom I & II (Demnak/1994;1997)." A child of Jewish parents whom he describes as "radical middle class," who gave him an excess of freedom, he saw fit to add "von" to his name.
