Tick Tock Review
We'll be careful and try not to spoil the surprises of this very well-executed, darkly erotic murder mystery, but it's going to be tough. The story is told from several viewpoints, with a clock rolling backward to indicate how much time has elapsed between incidents. Sometimes one sees the same scene from a different angle as the character's viewpoint changes. It's an effective technique, and the fragmenting of the puzzle makes the film even better than the cheesy erotic thriller the box art makes it look like. A seductively attractive cast is emboldened by a clever script that bears the suspenseful elements of Diabolique and the melodrama of Dallas. It's strictly B-movie fare, but it's well done enough to watch twice to see what clues were missed the first time through. B-movie fans will not be disappointed by the ending.
