Farrelly Brothers Breathe New Life Into 'The Three Stooges' (Video)

April 13th, 2012 1:00pm EDT
The Three Stooges
First I must say that I have never been a fan of 'The Three Stooges.' Never watched them on TV way back when or understood their appeal. Slapstick, over the top comedy has never been my thing.

So you can imagine how much I was dreading seeing the Farrelly Brothers new film 'The Three Stooges.' Well guess what? To my surprise, I absolutely loved it and I LMAO.

This has a lot to do with the three actors portraying these guys. Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos) Larry (Sean Hayes) and Curly (Will Sasso) are absolutely spot on in bringing these iconic characters to life.

Yes, the humor is campy, s...

The Three Stooges
Officials at the Catholic League have lashed out at the brains behind new movie comedy remake The Three Stooges for putting supermodel Kate Upton in a barely-there bikini for a racy scene.

The Sports Illustrated cover girl, who plays Sister Bernice in the film, strips down to a lacy black 'nun-kini' swimsuit and wimple for a pool scene in the new Farrelly brothers film - and religious leaders are not amused.

A statement from Catholic League president Bill Donohue reads, "In the 1950s, Hollywood generally avoided crude fare and was respectful of religion. Today it specializes in crudity ...

Chris Diamantopoulos
Chris Diamantopoulos was covered in bruises while shooting The Three Stooges after he and co-stars Sean Hayes and Will Sasso "beat the living daylights out of each other."

The actor threw himself into his slapstick stunts to play Moe Howard in the Farrelly brothers' upcoming movie and admits the physical comedy left him in agony.

He explains, "I love the physical transformation involved with character work. My body and face are very different than the real Moe Howard's, which is why at first I had a hard time wrapping my head around the role."

"I had a blast working with Sean Hayes an...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'The Cabin In The Woods,' 'Three Stooges' & More

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies
My high hopes for the fourth “American Pie” movie were dashed after I saw “American Reunion.” There was plenty of 90s nostalgia and some of the trademark humor that you love from the franchise, but on the whole the film was pretty depressing. For more of my thoughts, check out the full review.

Dropping in at the box office this week are the Joss Whedon penned horror film “The Cabin in the Woods,” the modern-day take on a classic comedy trio in “The Three Stooges,” the action packed sci-fi movie “Lockout,” the African American kidnapping thriller “Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day,” ...
