Kay Howard for five years on that popular series, she left the show to pursue character roles in such films as “21 Grams” and “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada”. Taking on a leading role in her latest film “Frozen River,” Leo captures the desperation and strength of a woman with everything to lose.

Three flicks hit DVD shelves this week: Firewall, Underworld Evolution and The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada. "Firewall" centers on a bank security expert who must save his family from a criminal mastermind. "Underworld Evolution" continues the saga of war between the vampires (Death Dealers) and werewolves (Lycans). "The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada" is a fractured tale of murder and injustice on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Executives Shelve Tommy Lee Jones Film Due To Its Violent Nature

Tommy Lee Jones is hoping to follow up his directorial debut on The Three Burials of Melquidaes Estrada by turning Cormac McCarthy's ultra-violent "Blood Meridian" into a new movie. The actor was hired to write a screenplay based on the book, but the film has since been shelved because movie executives feared it was too violent.

He explains, "Sony Pictures hired me to write a screenplay from the book. I told them it would be an absolutely true adaptation of the book. They said, 'Fine, go ahead.' They gave me some money, and within a year I gave them an awfully good screenplay, which th...
