Thrashin' Review
For '80s skateboard kitsch heaven, it doesn't get any better than Thrashin', the Josh_Brolin-starrer that pits skater dudes from the Valley against tough punk skaters led by one of the evil jerks with bad hair in Weird_Science. The film encapsulates the Dogtown years of skating, but through the goggles of cheesy '80s cinema. From the ludicrous back flip stunts to the nunchaku jousting sequence, Thrashin' is a wealth of so-bad-it's-good entertainment from the first moment on. Co-starring a young Sherilyn_Fenn with a live appearance from the Red_Hot_Chili_Peppers, the flick is a virtual who's-who of familiar faces which can be seen in everything from Body_Rock to The_Lost_Boys. Add in at least one extreme air guitar sequence and a bootleg West_Side_Story plotline and you basically have Thrashin's goods in a totally radical nutshell. Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi
