Notes From Tribeca: Come And Get 'Mansome' With Jason Bateman, Will Arnett And Morgan Spurlock
I don’t know why documentaries always have to be so serious. Thank god for Morgan Spurlock. The man who brought us Super Size Me and Freakonomics is back with perhaps his funniest path to discovery yet. Mansome is exactly what it sounds like—an education course in male pampering and grooming.
Anchored by Arrested Development’s Jason Bateman and Will Arnett, Spurlock takes us through the different facets of prettying up in the new century. From waxing to moustaches, we get differing perspectives of male hair from today’s leading experts and celebrities such as Paul Rudd, Zach Galifianakis...

Morgan Spurlock To Shave Off Moustache For 'Movember'
Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock has pledged to shave off his famous moustache at the end of November to help raise $5,000 for men's health issues.
As part of the 'Movember' movement, the Super Size Me star plans to join thousands of men who have started growing facial hair from scratch in a bid to grow moustaches and raise awareness about health matters like prostate cancer.
However, because Spurlock is currently in the middle of a new film project, which requires him to keep his facial hair, he has set up an online fundraising team for fans who want to contribute to the cause and ultimately ...

Morgan Spurlock Makes Comic-Con Documentary
Award-winning director Morgan Spurlock has bottled up the essence of Comic-Con for an upcoming documentary on the world-famous pop culture event.
The Super Size Me filmmaker followed seven die-hard fantasy fans as they wandered through the San Diego, California convention last year and chronicled their experiences in the movie, and accompanying book, Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope.
He tells Entertainment Weekly, "The idea of it was we were going to find different people who represented Comic-Con - an artist, a writer, a comic-book shop owner, a collector, someone who is competing in...

Interview/Review: Spurlock Speaks On 'The Greatest Movie Ever Sold'
With his latest movie "POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold" (opening April 22 from Sony Picture Classics), documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock is selling out – and he wants everyone to know it. Using money from various products shown in and around the film (headed by bold drink POM Wonderful of the title!) Spurlock’s movie is also an examination of such marketing and advertising practices and it’s an ironic conundrum indeed. Starpulse is celebrating the arrival of the picture with some candid chat with controversial documentarian Spurlock, followed by my five-star review...

Summer TV Preview: Forget the Beach, Cable Is The Place To Be
While the cable networks still lag far behind the broadcast networks in the ratings department (well, four of them anyway), they have made great strides in terms of matching, and often times exceeding, the big dogs when it comes to quality original programming.
At no time of the year is this trend more evident than in the summer. While the broadcast networks are unsurprisingly going with a bevy of unscripted fare (including entirely too many reality competition shows), the cable networks are once again proving to be the place to turn for quality, original, SCRIPTED programming.

Insert Foot Into Mouth: Spurlock Apologizes for Comments
Documentary maker Morgan Spurlock has apologized to a high school after stunning students and teachers with a foul-mouthed politically incorrect speech. During a lecture last week at Hatboro-Horsham High School in Philadelphia, the Super Size Me star joked about the intelligence of McDonald's employees and teachers smoking marijuana. The speech was cut short and another planned in the town later that day was cancelled.
