Why Women Love Channing Tatum

February 3rd, 2012 12:30pm EST
Channing Tatum
Channing Tatum is the definition of eye candy. Just in time for Valentine's Day the gorgeous actor stars in the upcoming romantic film "The Vow" opposite Rachel McAdams (in theaters Feb. 10). He plays a man who tries to win back his new bride's heart after she loses her memory in a tragic car accident. Sounds very romantic, doesn't it?

The actor has been on our radar for a while. First, he showed off his incredible abs in Abercrombie & Fitch catalogs and modeled for famous brands such as Nautica, Gap, Aeropostale, Emporio Armani, and American Eagle.

After roles in "Coa...

Don’t laugh or call me a girl (HA) but, if you’re anything like me, you might enjoy watching movies with lots of dancing! While watching some of these dance movies such as Hitch or Step Up or any one of the Bring It On movies, you may have wondered who dancer number 1 was. That really cute dancer is Sarah Mitchell from Burlesque.

I was invited to attend the first annual Dance Track Magazine Artist Awards. I had never heard of such a thing or did I know anything about dancers or dancing for that matter, but I will explain that later. I have to admit that attending an event with all of these...

The following decade, Kevin Bacon rebelled in "Footloose" and Gregory Hines and Mikhail Baryshnikov stole the show in "White Nights." Dancing men are surprisingly hot.

Sorry ladies, Channing Tatum is taken. He married his Step Up leading lady Jenna Dewan. Even though he’s still playing young guys in movies like this weekend’s The Eagle, Tatum says marriage makes him feel like a grown-up for the first time in his life.

“I really love saying that I’m married,” Tatum said. “I love saying ‘my wife.’ I don't think I’ve ever felt grown up and I think it’s sort of a rite of passage for me to feel like a grown up and responsible.”

The Eagle is an ancient battle movie with lots of stunts. Marriage hasn’t taken away Tatum’s edge. He still likes to do his own stun...

Animated Films Adults Can Enjoy
The movie industry is always looking for the right audiences to sell to, and no age bracket is more lucrative to them than the kiddies. The children can consistently bring in big numbers if they're interested enough to beg their parents to go, and then they want popcorn and candy and soda and please please pleeeease mommy! Love for movies starts in most people at a young age, and while adults may roll their eyes at "G-Force," they'll reluctantly be dragged by their kids or nieces and nephews to see it. However, not all kids movies have proven to be only for children. Recently "Where the Wil...

Fame
There are a lot of movies about the angst and the hope of high school, and even a few musicals set in that time period, but none of them were quite as devastating or as memorable as "Fame." The film came out in 1980 and is about the life of an ensemble cast of talented teenagers as they enroll in an extremely competitive performing arts high school. Only the best of the best get into the New York High School of Performing Arts, and those that do get in must prepare for four years of grueling practice and soul crushing criticism. The students learn that they must lean on one another and on a...
