New details about the recently announced first ever Star Wars spinoff film Rogue One were revealed during this year's Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, Calif., over the weekend, and it sounds like the first film in the saga's officially titled "Anthology" series will be focus on a legendary heist.

Disney's first planned Star Wars stand-alone movie officially has a title and its first star.

Actress Felicity Jones (The Theory Of Everything) is set to star in Rogue One, which will hit theaters on December 16, 2016 and be directed by Gareth Edwards (2014's Godzilla), Disney Chairman and CEO Robert Iger announced during a shareholder meeting in San Francisco on Thursday.

Actress Felicity Jones, who is currently nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in "The Theory Of Everything" is set to star in the first stand-alone "Star Wars" spinoff film, which is set to hit theaters a year after "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

The actress is close to signing on, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and beat out "Orphan Black" star Tatiana Maslany and "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" star Rooney Mara for the part.

Actor Peter Mayhew, who plays the Wookiee Chewbacca in the "Star Wars" movie saga, has been hospitalized with pneumonia.

The actor, 70, was admitted to the hospital over the weekend and was forced to cancel an appearance at a Texas comic book store.

His wife, Angie, took to Reddit.com to confirm the news, thanking fans for their well-wishes and explaining that he's doing fine.
