These Are The 20 Best 'Star Wars' Characters Ever

12/25/2015 4:21pm EST
The 20 Greatest Characters In The 'Star Wars' Galaxy
The Star Wars universe has given us dozens of characters throughout its seven films and two animated series, and we've narrowed that list down to the 20 we think are the best in the series.

Naturally, we've gone with canon here, as some may argue that characters from the post-"Return of the Jedi" expanded universe novels and comics should be included, however Disney wiped all of that off the Star Wars map to start fresh with "The Force Awakens."

Those stories are now just known as legends.

Did we miss any? Let us know in the comments below!

Donald Trump Tells Jimmy Kimmel He's Not A 'Star Wars' Fan, Will
Heading out to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens this weekend? Don't expect Donald Trump to be there. The Republican presidential candidate made a shocking revelation on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night — he's not a big fan of the Star Wars franchise.

Will Trump see a drop in his "fantastic" poll numbers now that he's disappointed millions of potential voters who just happen to be Star Wars fans? If he starts to lose ground as a frontrunner in the 2016 Presidential election, he may blame it on the "The Force" not being with him.

Trump quickly realized he didn't win any points for dissi...

Ford gave an interview to 'Good Morning America' this week in which he revealed he only made $1000 a week to portray Solo the first time around.

“A producer friend of mine that produced ‘American Graffiti’ somehow connived to get me to read the lines with people that were auditioning for the parts of Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker,” he said. “I thought I was jus...

'Star Wars' John Boyega Tells Haters To Get Used To Seeing Black
When Disney dropped the first teaser trailer for 'Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens' last November, some were surprised by the first character to literally pop up on screen. Actor John Boyega jumped into the picture in a panic, while wearing what appeared to be a Stormtrooper uniform.

While Boyega's initial appearance was obviously designed to create a bit of a jump scare, some fans said they were taken aback because the actor was black. These fans stated they were upset because Stormtroopers are supposed to be an army of all-white clones, at least according to old franchise lore....

Luke Skywalker
There's a good possibility that there will be more than one character in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" with the surname Skywalker, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy all but confirmed that this weekend.

The movie producer told warehouse store Costco's Costco Connection magazine that the sequel trilogy will focus on the continuing story of the Skywalker family, which began with Luke Skywalker in the very first "Star Wars" trilogy and continued on with the story of his father, Anakin, in the saga's prequel trilogy.

“The Saga films focus on the Skywalker family,” Kennedy said. "The st...
