The script for the third film would've once again involved time travel, thus re-rebooting the series as the Vulcans would've obtained a device and used it to go back in time to prevent th...

Star Trek Into Darkness
If you finally had a chance to see Star Trek: Into Darkness this past week and are going through Kirk/Spock withdrawal, we’ve rounded up three things to keep you occupied until it’s either out on Blu-Ray or you’re already lining up for the inevitable third film.

1) Play Star Trek the Videogame.

Ever imagine Kirk/Spock as a co-op team that could be played in videogames? Yeah me either. And yet, the videogame that came out last month works… some of the time. The enemy Gorn you fight are repetitive and the storyline, taking place after the 2009 film, definitely needs some work, but with t...

"I feel like I have to start with the biggest mystery/conversation that's surrounded the film from the get go," Horowitz wrote in a letter to Lindelof. "Why is Alice Eve in her underwear at one point?"

Oz: The Great And Powerful
The Super Bowl is second only to The Oscars telecast when it comes to movie trailers. So who paid the big bucks this year?

Oz: the Great and Powerful had the best spot in my opinion. The clever black and white, 4:3 (the classic's original resolution) opening immediately drew one's attention. After expanding to fullscreen and in vibrant color, This Sam Raimi directed prequel to the classic Wizard of Oz looked like it would be a surefire hit in March.

J.J. Abrams only put a few brief moments of lens flare into his Star Trek: Into Darkness trailer. This action-packed Sci Fi movie hits th...

Star Trek Into Darkness
The second official trailer for next Spring's highly-anticipated Star Trek sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness, is finally out -- and this second glimpse of the film gives us a little bit more to go on in terms of what it's about.

Well, not really.

It does focus on Kirk (Chris Pine) and some major decisions he'll have to make that could put the lives of himself and his crew on the line, according to the voiceover from Captain Pike (Bruce Greenwood).

There's still no clues as to who Benedict Cumberbatch's bad guy is, only that he's a pretty ominous force and some serious s--t is going down.

Extra Frames In Japanese Version Of 'Star Trek Into Darkness' Teaser May Hold Clues To The New Bad Guy's Identity

12/6/2012 6:51pm EST
Star Trek Into Darkness
The first trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness finally has a trailer, which debuted this morning, and it promises plenty of action, but gives little explanation of who Benedict Cumberbatch's bad guy is or what his motivation will be.

J.J. Abrams' much-anticipated sequel to the 2009 reboot of the series promises an "unstoppable force of terror" and a "one man weapon of mass destruction", but gives little more than that in both the official synopsis, released last week, or in today's "announcement video" (neither a trailer nor a teaser, according to Paramount Pictures).

Star Trek Into Darkness
The first trailer for J.J. Abrams' highly anticipated Star Trek Into Darkness, debuted this morning and it promises plenty of action in the sequel to the 2009 reboot of the series, but offers little to go on in terms of what it's about.

There's not much more than is known already via the brief, official synopsis of the film; which only shares that an "unstoppable force of terror" from within Starfleet has risen and destroyed the organization and everything for which it stands. A "one man weapon of mass destruction" (Benedict Cumberbatch) is hunted by Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) after the Ent...

New 'Star Trek Into Darkness' Poster Released, First Trailer Debuts Dec. 6

12/4/2012 9:31pm EST
Star Trek Into Darkness
The first artwork for next year's Star Trek sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness, debuted online this week Paramount Pictures' new teaser poster for the film looks awfully familiar.

The highly anticipated sequel to J.J. Abrams' 2009 series reboot looks very similar to the artwork for The Dark Knight Rises, but instead of looking straight up and seeing the bat logo silhouetted in crumbling buildings, this time around we get the Starfleet logo blown out the side of a building (also quite reminiscent of 9/11) with a lone man (Kirk? Spock?) looking out over a city in ruin.

Little else is known abo...
