Is This Actor The Next James Bond?

6/16/2015 12:41pm EDT
Damian lewis
Start placing your bets on the next 007. According to the UK bookmaker William Hill (via The Guardian), English actor Damian Lewis might just be our next James Bond.

Hill has odds on all the leading debonair British actors up for the role once Daniel Craig's through. Idris Elba (5/2), Tom Hardy (4/1), Henry Cavill (5/1) and Michael Fassbender (7/1) are all in the running (not officially, but at least according to those placing Bond bets). But it's Lewis that just became the favorite, with 6/4 odds.

Obviously, MGM and Columbia Pictures would be a firmer source of actual James Bond casting,...

The number-three grossing film of all time (behind James Cameron's "Titanic" and "Avatar"), starred Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Mark Ruffalo as the H...

Bond Is at His Most Beautiful in 'Skyfall'

11/11/2012 3:28pm EST
James Bond in Skyfall
James Bond films have trends you can set your Omega Seamaster by: exotic locations, expensive cars, cool gadgets, sexy women, and maniacal villains. Given their tendency to be so over-the-top, you never expect Bond movies to emphasize production value beyond their special effects budgets. That’s why “Skyfall,” Bond’s 23rd big-screen adventure, is a surprising game-changer for the 50-year-old franchise.

With Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes at the helm, “Skyfall” feels more like an art house piece than your typical blockbuster. Instead of trying to impress you with action, Mendes gives his...

Daniel Craig at the Paris premiere of
We know being James Bond is hard work. That’s why we appreciate it so much when he saves the world with a great sacrifice to his personal relationships (how many of those Bond girls stick around? Even the ones that survive leave.) Daniel Craig has a good sense of humor about it though, as he described making the latest film Skyfall.

“It’s seven months of filming so it’s like making four movies at the same time,” Craig said. “There’s a second unit going on, there’s the main unit. We’re shooting action sequences, we’re shooting dialogue sequences, underwater sequences. There’s nothing like i...

Review 'Skyfall': James Bond Is Back And Steps Into the 21st Century

11/7/2012 2:04pm EST
'Skyfall' directed by the super talented Sam Mendes gives us a very different James Bond.

Yes, he's still the charismatic super macho male that loves sex, hot women, hot cars, gambling and kicking butt. But this time around he's also vulnerable, slightly worn out and much more human.

Don't want to spoil the fun, so I'll just talk about the plot with broad strokes.

The film begins in Istanbul where Bond (Daniel Craig) finds a fellow MI6 agent critically wounded and the hard drive of a laptop missing.

Bond goes after the thief/hitman, Patrice (Ola Rapace), which culmin...
