The Sitter
A college dropout becomes a babysitter to make some quick cash, and takes his three young charges on an epic urban adventure in "The Sitter" from director David Gordon Green ("Pineapple Express").

Noah (Jonah Hill) isn't a babysitter, but he'll do just about anything for a little extra cash in his wallet. Shortly after he's hired to look after three young children, though, Noah gets a call from his girlfriend promising sex in exchange for drugs. Desperate and horny, the irresponsible sitter packs his unsuspecting wards into the car and heads for the seedy part of town.

Celebrity Slim-Downs Of 2011

December 22nd, 2011 4:00pm EST
Jonah Hill Weight Loss
Weight is a big issue in Hollywood (no pun intended). Celebrities are either too heavy or too thin for sensationalist magazines. However, it's always a feel-good story when a celebrity begins to shed the pounds - here are the most notable celebrity slim-downs of 2011!

Jonah Hill: The Sitter and 21 Jump Street star lopped off 40 pounds this year - he's barely recognizable now, especially compared to his look in The Sitter (which had its released delayed several months). Fans were worried that Jonah wouldn't be as funny if he lost weight - we'll have to see for sure when 21 Jump Street comes...

'New Year's Eve' Beats 'The Sitter' At Weekend Box Office

December 12th, 2011 8:49am EST
New Year's Eve
Star-studded romantic comedy "New Year's Eve" has crawled to the top of the box office chart in the slowest weekend of ticket sales in three years.

The movie, starring Robert De Niro, Halle Berry, Michelle Pfeiffer, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl, grossed a weak $13.7 million in its opening weekend - a stark contrast to director Garry Marshall's last hit, 2010's "Valentine's Day," which also featured an ensemble cast and debuted with a healthy $56.3 million.

Jonah Hill's new funny film "The Sitter" opened in second with a lacklustre $10 million.

"The Twilight Saga: Breakin...

Review: Jonah Hill Deserves Better Than 'The Sitter'

December 10th, 2011 11:00am EST
The Sitter
Who would you rather watch in a movie about babysitting: a 1980s Elisabeth Shue or an overweight Jonah Hill? Let’s be honest, you’d probably pick Elisabeth Shue. And no, this argument is NOT based on looks. If you’ve seen his nuanced performances in “Cyrus” or “Moneyball,” then you’ll agree that Hill has outgrown crappy films like David Gordon Green’s “The Sitter,” regardless of former weight.

In an age of reboots and remakes, plenty of Hollywood scribes try to slyly spin an established idea or genre, by marketing it as new. However, rarely do they bring anything worthwhile ...

5 Best Movies On The Humorous Side Of Child Endangerment

December 9th, 2011 10:00am EST
The Sitter Poster
Why do we love R-rated comedy? Answer: The swearing is better. This sex is more comical. The shenanigans are more extreme. What makes any R-rated comedy better? Answer: Children.

The addition of children to any hilarious movie only makes that movie more hilarious. Having kids along for the ride takes all the things we love about these films and intensifies them. Having a kid in the car during a chase scene makes the danger more real and more frightening (hence the title of this column). Swearing, the lifeblood of any R-rated comedy, seems all the more taboo when it’s done in front of kids....

Jonah Hill A No-Show As 'WWE Raw' Host

November 22nd, 2011 2:31pm EST
Jonah Hill
Funnyman Jonah Hill disappointed thousands of fans on Monday night after failing to show up for his planned hosting gig on wrestling show WWE Raw.

The Superbad star was expected to make an appearance on the program in order to promote his upcoming films The Sitter and 21 Jump Street, however Hill skipped the event, making a fool of TV producers who heavily publicized the actor as one of the evening's main attractions.

At the time WENN went to press, a reason for Hill's no-show was not immediately made clear.

X-Men star Hugh Jackman previously starred on the program in September in sup...
