Blake Lively's actor father is expected to make a full recovery after losing control of his car and flipping the vehicle down an embankment on Monday.

Ernie Lively, 61, was taken to hospital and treated for back, arm and lung injuries - but he has been given the all clear by doctors.

The Gossip Girl star's mum Elaine tells Us Weekly magazine, "He's going to make a full recovery, thankfully. It was a horrific accident. He swerved to miss a car and his car tumbled down an embankment."
