Crafty actor Clive Owen used a cunning trick to stop his wife from watching him in a new on-screen romp - he claimed the film was too violent for her to watch.

The British hunk stars in action film Shoot 'Em Up with sexy actress Monica Bellucci and the pair have a racy sex scene in the movie.

But he refused to let his wife Sarah-Jane Fenton see the chemistry for herself.

He says, "You don't show a scene like that to the wife. I was like, 'You won't like this one, babe. It won't work for you. Honestly. Er, way too violent'."

He chuckles, "They gave me the script and my agent was like, 'There's some thing with a lactating whore and you're with a dead body in the back of a car. Do you really want to read this?' It was just crazy and it just kept get...
