Horror movie "Saw VI" will finally be released in Spain this October after producers cut several of the gory sequel's most violent scenes to secure a more universal rating in the country.

The sixth installment of the popular franchise was slapped with an X rating by Spanish film censors last year, meaning it could only be shown in theatres which allowed porn.

It's hard to imagine that it's been 20 years since I wore my New Kids On The Block t-shirt holding a pink and black pocket rocker, which was playing "Hanging Tough" of course, in one hand and a sign saying "I hart you Jordan! Lionsgate, the leading independent film entertainment studio, just reported revenues of $951.2 million for fiscal year (FY) 2006 (fiscal year ended March 31, 2006), an increase of 13% compared to $842.6 million in fiscal 2005.

Spike TV has announced the creation of of an annual televised event devoted to celebrating the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genres. Promising to be to be a raucous and visually dynamic two-hour telecast, "SCREAM 2006" is slated to premiere this October.

AP - Gregg Hoffman, who produced the current hit horror film "Saw II" has died. He was 42.

Hoffman died Sunday at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital, where he had been admitted after complaining of neck pain, his business partners said. He died of natural causes, according to a news release from Lions Gate Entertainment, which distributed his recent films. An autopsy will be performed.

Not surprisingly, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire dominated the box office this weekend. Fans went to theaters in droves to watch Harry, Hermione, and Ron in the fourth film of the popular franchise. The animated film Chicken Little adds a new twist to the classic children's tale. Zach Braff voices the title character, while Joan Cusack is Abby Mallard and Steve Zahn plays Runt of the Litter.
