Adam Sandler's 'Just Go With It' Beats Justin Bieber's 'Never Say Never'
Adam Sandler's new movie, Just Go With It, took top box-office honors over Justin Bieber's new flick, Never Say Never. Could Sandler be the cure to Bieber fever?
Justin Bieber doesn't need to take home a Grammy or win the box-office showdown to prove he's in the game. That's a good thing because both fell short for the music sensation this weekend.
In an opening weekend fight to the finish, the Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston movie Just Go With It beat out Bieber's 3D hot-ticket Never Say Never at the box office. According to figures from Box Office Mojo, it wasn't a massacre. Just G...

'The Roommate' Tops Weak Weekend Box Office
Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester's new thriller "The Roommate" has scared up big business at the box office - the film has debuted at number one.
The movie took in $15.6 million in its opening weekend to finish well ahead of director James Cameron's latest 3D offering "Sanctum," which scored a weak $9.2 million first weekend take.
Last week's number one movie "The Rite" drops to six, while romantic comedy "No Strings Attached" rounds out the new top three.

Review: '3D Sanctum' 'Two Jews On Film' Think This Underwater Thriller Should Be Seen Not Heard (Video)
'Sanctum' directed by Alister Grierson is loosely based on true events. The film tells the story of Frank McGuire (Richard Roxburgh) a tough, take no prisoners, master diver intent on being the first person to explore the Esa-Ala cave system in the South Pacific.
Shortly after Frank descends into the caves, along with a team that includes his 17 year old neglected son Josh, (Rhys Wakefield) who spends most of the film complaining to his dad that he was a lousy father, the expedition's obnoxious bankroller Carl Hurley (Ioan Gruffudd) his annoying girlfriend, Victoria (Alice Parkinson) and...

Review: 'Sanctum' Tests Sanity, Strength, Stamina And Will
I think with the name James Cameron attached to this project clearly branded ‘SANCTUM’ to be one of the year’s most anticipated films. UNIVERSAL started airing their trailers back in the fall, and I think cleverly done seeing as they presented tidbits of the film (obviously, because it’s a trailer) followed by a ‘Based on true events’ mention. Once one sees that the film’s based on actual events, I know it entices ones’ interest and immediately research starts. Caves, Divers, Darkness, Panic-stricken segments and comments like “I’ll see you on the other side” by one of the actors doesn’t le...

I caught screenings of two movies that opened last week: “The Rite” with Anthony Hopkins and “The Mechanic” with Jason Statham. My first impression was that I would like “The Rite” better than “The Mechanic” however the reverse was actually the case. If you haven’t already read my review of “The Rite” check my gripes about it.
While “The Mechanic” is not a thinking man’s movie, it’s a mindless action flick that knows how to cater to its target audience. There are some entertaining fight sequences and a few great one-liners which is all you can really ask for from this type of film. My ...
