Pop star Jewel has quietly quit her budding acting career because she's too lazy to make it work. The pretty singer starred in western Ride With The Devil and recently appeared as herself in TV series Men In Trees, but she insists acting won't be a part of her future.

Folk-pop star Jewel has turned her back on Hollywood because she was spending too much time making movies. The pretty Alaskan fell into acting and enjoyed acclaim for a handful of performances, including her portrayal of a U.S. Civil War widow in Ang Lee's Ride With The Devil, but she has decided that a movie career is not for her.
