Football's opening game may have been Wednesday night, when the Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants, but the real opening event will be this weekend when the NFL debuts with a full slate of Sunday games. If you aren't excited yet, check your pulse - and watch these 10 Football Films.

Remember The Titans: Although this Disney production plays it safe for the most part, it's still an inspiring and dramatic tale of a real African American coach (Denzel Washington) who was hired at a desegregated school in Virginia in the 1971. There's some good football action mixed in there, as well.

Keanu Reeves Named 'Best Movie Quarterback'

Keanu Reeves has topped a new poll to find the best movie quarterback.

The hunk's Shane Falco in "The Replacements" won him 28 percent of the vote in the MovieTickets.com survey, held to coincide with the start of the new National Football League season on Thursday.

Adam Sandler placed second with his portrayal of Paul Crewe in "The Longest Yard" and Kip Pardue's Ronnie 'Sunshine' Bass from "Remember the Titans" came in third. All three landed over 20 percent of the vote.

Two-Time Oscar Nominee Jack Warden Passes At 85

Veteran actor Jack Warden has died in New York. He was 85.

The Emmy-winning Heaven Can Wait star, who was twice nominated for an Academy Award, was born John H Lebzelter in September, 1920. He was raised in Louisville, Kentucky, where he was expelled from Du Pont Manuel High School for fighting and decided to put his violent streak to good use in the boxing ring.

After boxing professionally, he then joined the Navy in the late 1930s, and served in China before becoming a Merchant Marine and later signing up for the US Army, where he became a paratrooper with the elite 101st Airb...
