Dustin Hoffman Deemed A Hero After Saving The Life Of London Jogger

Hollywood Legend Dustin Hoffman has been hailed a Hero for rushing to the rescue of a jogger who suffered a heart attack in a London park.

The Rain Man actor was walking through Hyde Park when he saw Sam Dempster fall to the ground, and he raced to help the sick man during the incident late last month.

Hoffman dialed 999 and stayed with Dempster for 15 minutes as paramedics carried out CPR.

Dempster is now recovering from the health scare after undergoing an operation, and has reached out to the actor to thank him for his assistance.

Dustin Hoffman To Make His Directorial Debut With 'Quartet'

Dustin Hoffman has roped in veteran actors Michael Gambon and Maggie Smith to star in his directorial debut.

The Rain Man actor will step behind the camera to direct Quartet, a comedy set in a home for retired opera singers, which will also include Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins and Tom Courtenay in the cast.

Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein jokes he "decided to give an up-and-coming first-timer a chance" by hiring Hoffman after snapping up the film rights.

Weinstein adds, "We're excited to be working with Dustin on his directorial debut."

Preston, who wed the Pulp Fiction star in 1991, will portray Victoria Gotti and the couple's real-life daughter Ella Bleu, 11, will star as their onscreen child, Angel, in the upcoming film Gotti: Three Generations.
