Breakout Stars Of 2009
Like any normal year there were breakout stars in entertainment in 2009 and we here at Starpulse tried to compile a comprehensive list of those who broke out.

Although some might have pimples, we do not mean break out in that sense but those who we knew little about last year and know a lot about this year.

There were two actors from the same movie, and we bet you can guess which movie that was, two Taylors (one male and one female), and two actresses from the same television show.

There are new hunks and new babes for both genders to enjoy and it is up to these new stars to kee...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Old Dogs,' 'The Road' & More

Ninja Assassin
In a change of pace, I have already seen one of the week's upcoming movies ahead of time: "Ninja Assassin." As per my expectations, the film places a lesser emphasis on plot and a higher one on intense action sequences.

While the plot isn't horrendous, many of its aspects are not as well developed as they should have been. The quality of the action starts to make up this, but it's not enough to save the film.

"Ninja Assassin" is a mediocre movie at best. My opinion is that it's not worth wasting your money on seeing in the theater. If you really want to see it, I'd recommend waiti...

Blake Lively Shows Some Legs & Cleavage At The 'Private Lives Of Pippa Lee' Premiere

Blake Lively at Pippa Lee premire
Blake Lively arrived at "The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee" premiere in New York City on Sunday looking mighty fine. She showed off her long legs in sexy short shorts and didn't leave much to the imagination with her low-cut blouse. See more photos after the jump.

Last month the Gossip Girl star brushed off rumors she's engaged to co-star and real life love Penn Badgley. Online reports recently suggested the couple was set to walk down the aisle after Lively allegedly accepted Badgley's wedding proposal.

Meanwhile, her beau made headlines for a threesome storyline in "Gossip Girl." A le...

Cirque du Freak
Last Tuesday, I had a chance to see "Where the Wild Things Are." Visually the film is stunning; it integrates handheld camera shots in the appropriate moments to take viewers into the action. Jim Henson's Creature Shop makes the monsters of the movie look incredibly convincing, and the composite animation of their faces matches up well.

Spike Jonze and Dave Eggers do a fantastic job of stretching a 10 page children's book into a movie that doesn't distort the message of the book, but still gives audiences something fresh. One of the most fascinating aspects of the creatures the hero M...

Fashion Frump Blake Lively

Blake Lively
On "Gossip Girl," Blake Lively's Serena impresses us with her sleek and savvy fashion choices. Maybe Blake should take a cue from Serena in real life.

The actress showed up for a photo call for "The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee" at the International Film Festival in Berlin wearing an unflattering combo consisting of a black skirt and shirt, light blue undershirt, brown belt, black tights, and olive heels. The outfit washes out her skin tone and looks thrown together haphazardly.

What do you think of Blake's outfit? Let us know in the comments!

Made In Connecticut: Filmmakers Turn East Coast State Into Moviemaking Mecca

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Is Connecticut the new Hollywood? Probably not, but it has become a hotspot for filmmaking. The quaint, colonial towns and Yale's impressive architecture led director Steven Spielberg to direct a portion of his highly anticipated "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" in New Haven. Director Sam Mendes admits that the state is a central character in his latest movie, "Revolutionary Road," starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Sure, the New England state is beautiful in the fall with its crimson leaves, pumpkin patches, and white picket fences. It features beautifu...
