Actor Jake Gyllenhaal is yearning to settle down and start a family, insisting having children is priority now that he's approaching 30.

The "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" star, who is rumored to be dating 20-year-old country singer Taylor Swift, will mark the milestone in December and he admits he's eager to become a father after spending so much time with his sister Maggie's daughter Ramona.

He tells USA Weekend, "It's incredible to see the traits she has. She mimics things that my sister or my brother-in-law do, and it makes me laugh. I just adore her.

The popular video game series "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" was adapted for the big screen in a sweeping fantasy adventure starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton.

The only person capable of defeating this tyrant and saving the world is Dastan (Gyllenhaal), a youthful prince. Now, w...

Summer 2010 Is Disappointing For Film Lovers

6/11/2010 8:54am EDT
The Karate Kid
It looks like the summer of 2010 will be one moviegoers will soon want to forget. Many studios and filmmakers are already scratching their heads wondering why this summer (barely halfway over) is producing rather disappointing numbers at the box office.

Iron Man 2 and Shrek Forever After have made $291 million and $166 million respectively and are the only big-budget films that have come out during this crucial season to break even with their production budgets. Audiences’ clear love of Robert Downey Jr.’s cool superhero Tony Stark and the comedic storytelling-style have made this franchis...

Gemma Arterton
Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time star Gemma Arterton has married her fiancé in an intimate ceremony in Spain.

The former Bond girl, 24, exchanged vows with Italian Stefano Catelli, 37, in a Moorish 10th-century castle on a hill in Zuheros, Andalucia on Saturday.

The actress, who wore a flowing white gown, was determined to keep the nuptials a secret and only told family and friends the exotic location just days before the event took place.

The couple was later cheered by villagers as they drove through the town in a vintage gold Hutton convertible car.

Sex And The City 2
The "Sex And The City" girls can rely on their fans in the U.K. - their movie sequel has strutted to the top of the British box office, just days after failing to excite U.S. cinemagoers.

The highly-anticipated film failed to hit the top spot in America over the Memorial Day weekend, losing out to both "Shrek Forever After" and "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time."

But Brit devotees of the hit TV series-turned-movie franchise flocked to catch the return of Carrie Bradshaw.

The sequel shot to the top of the box office with a $9.2 million opening weekend.

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Killers,' 'Get Him To The Greek,' & More

Get Him to the Greek
Lately I’ve been quite busy seeing movies. I saw three of the films that came out last week and I already caught one that opens this week. My review of the one premiering this week will be in next week’s column.

I subjected myself to “Sex and the City 2” last Monday which I appreciated it about as much as any man probably could: not very much. It was not a terrible film by any means though. Fans of the show should have a good time. My Grade: B-

Tuesday I saw “Prince of Persia” which I describe as a funnier version of “Clash of the Titans” since the dialogue is more entertaining. As ...

Kate Gosselin & The Kids - A Year After The Split From Jon

Kate Gosselin People Magazine
One year after Jon and Kate Gosselin's marriage began to crack in plain view of the 10 million viewers who tuned in to TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8," the reality star mom opens up in this week's issue of PEOPLE about how she and her eight children are adjusting. Since the split, the family has coped with divorce, long-distance separations (most recently when Kate competed on "Dancing With The Stars"), public custody struggles, and near-constant emotional upheaval. Life with Jon, says Kate, "feels like 10 years ago."

Much of the change has been painful. Even now, Kate, 35, acknowledges that thi...

'Prince Of Persia' And Video Game Movies

5/27/2010 11:20am EDT
Prince of Persia
Comic book movies have started to be extremely successful in recent media, what with box office hits like Iron Man 2, The Dark Knight, and Wanted. However, video games never seem to translate as well to the big screen. There are a few reasons that might be. For one, comic book heroes are just better known in general. It would be hard to find a person that doesn't know who Batman, Superman, or Wolverine is, even if they've never picked up a comic. The same cannot really be said of Lara Croft or Marcus Fenix, even if video games are slowly making their way into popular culture now. Disney got...

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies - 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,' 'Sex and the City 2,' & More

Sex and the City 2
The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston screened the independent film “Holy Rollers” last week so I had the chance to check it out. Based on a true story, "Holy Rollers" stars Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Bartha as Hasidic Jews who become drug smugglers. Eisenberg is fantastic as a man of faith conflicted by his new lifestyle, but the rest of his character Sam Gold is his standard awkward type casting. Justin Bartha is also believably sleazy and conniving as Sam's mentor Yosef. While its plot is intriguing, my overall opinion of it is brought down by the uninspired dialogue between its charac...

Michelle Monaghan's Sexy Blue Dress At The 'Prince Of Persia' Premiere - Hot Or Not?

5/19/2010 4:19pm EDT
Michelle Monaghan
Michelle Monaghan showed up in a cute navy blue blue dress at the "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" Los Angeles Premiere yesterday. We're not sure how we feel about the draped bow on the skirt, but overall we like the sequins on her waist and shoulder. What do you think?

The actress recently landed a role in "Machine Gun Preacher" starring Gerard Butler. Butler will be playing the real-life hero Sam Childers, a former biker gang member who became a missionary after finding religion in 1992 and going to Africa. Michelle will play his wife, a woman who cleans up her own act and takes car...

Jake Gyllenhaal Injured On 'Persia' Set

Jake Gyllenhaal
Jake Gyllenhaal was left nursing a string of painful injuries while filming Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time - because he was determined to perform his own stunts.

The actor plays sword-wielding Prince Dastan in the upcoming blockbuster, and he was intent on filming the fight scenes himself.

However, the 29 year old found himself battered and bruised after the intense shoots.

He tells Britain's Total Film magazine, "I pulled some shoulders and I strained some backs and I screwed up my ankle a few times but nothing to worry about. On one take, I actually punched a guy in the face by ...

Jake Gyllenhaal Is Ripped And Buff For Summer Blockbuster 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time'

11/11/2009 10:36am EST
Jake Gyllenhaal
This summer's action-adventure blockbuster Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time stars a Jake Gyllenhaal like you've never seen. Totally buff with ripped, chiseled abs, Gyllenhall swings around Arabian cities and dodges sandstorms like he leapt off the cover of a romance novel. The film's producer, action magnate Jerry Bruckheimer, explained how he did it.

"He really worked hard," Bruckheimer said. "He worked for months and months before the movie started. He trained every single day. He rode bikes, he lifted weights, he had a very specific diet. He couldn't have any fats, and it was reall...
