An Open Letter to Lindsay Lohan

March 19th, 2009 1:46pm EDT
Lindsay Lohan
Dear Lindsay,

Well? What's next? The world is waiting. Remember that little rehab stint and the comeback that typically comes after it?

Everyone is rooting for you. We loved you in The Parent Trap - those freckles! The accent! Twins! We loved Mean Girls and the adorable-turned-bitchy Cady that you played. Everyone liked the Lindsay with boobs and red hair, and we really couldn't get enough. We couldn't wait to see what grown-up movie you would do next...

Then came A Prairie Home Companion, Just My Luck, Bobby, Chapter 27, Georgia Rule, and I Know Who Killed Me. To break...

'There Will Be Blood' Dedicated To Robert Altman

December 18th, 2007 8:15pm EST
Robert Altman
Movie maker Paul Thomas Anderson has dedicated his new movie There Will Be Blood to Robert Altman, because the late director didn't live to see the film he helped inspire.

The Magnolia director honed his craft on the set of Altman's A Prairie Home Companion, for which he was drafted in as ailing Robert Altman's assistant as an insurance measure.

Anderson recalls, "I got the job of sitting next to him... just in case anything happened with him. Obviously it was a privilege and an honor and all that, and I just had such an amazing good time for 30 days. Bob was very good at relaxin...

In the petition, filed earlier this month, Keillor, 65, claimed the harassment started in April, after Campbell attended a live performance of his public radio show, A Prairie Home Companion in Georgia.

Movie Review: 'I Know Who Killed Me' Might Have Been A Guilty Pleasure, Now It's Just Sad

July 27th, 2007 10:33pm EDT
I Know Who Killed Me
Until very recently, the prospect of ''I Know Who Killed Me'' might have seemed utterly tantalizing. Perpetual train wreck Lindsay Lohan plays a stripper, and famously suffered bruises all over her body when she got all Method-y and actually trained for the role on a pole. It might have been fun, if only in a late-night, laugh-out-loud kind of way.

Now, after yet another arrest and further evidence of a worsening substance abuse problem, it just seems sad - a sad waste of talent, a sad lack of judgment, a sad course for a promising career.

But the film itself, which wasn't screene...
