Our Favorite Movie Cameos

October 14th, 2009 2:20pm EDT
Our Favorite Movie Cameos
There are a lot of modern movies that love to give little winks at the audience, and one of the easiest ways to do that is through the use of cameo appearances. A cameo is when a well known celebrity or important person shows up for a brief appearance in a movie. It can be a non-speaking random role, or perhaps a whole scene that steals the show. Whatever the case may be, oftentimes in a film the cameo ends up being the most memorable part of the whole movie. Take "Zombieland" for example, out in theaters now, but there's no spoilers here. Just go see the film and you'll see. Here's a look ...

Johnny Depp Pulls Out Of 'Don Quixote' Movie

August 6th, 2009 9:06am EDT
Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp has pulled out of starring in a movie about Spanish literary legend Don Quixote - after a series of disasters delayed the filming schedule by a decade.

Eccentric director Terry Gilliam lined up Depp and Jean Rochefort to appear in the film back in 2000, and his attempts to make The Man Who Killed Don Quixote were chronicled by filmmakers Keith Fulton and Louis Pepe in 2002 movie Lost in La Mancha.

The filming of the oddball epic was set back by scheduling and financial issues and weather-damaged sets, but Gilliam has always been adamant the project will go ahead with Dep...

Johnny Depp A Recluse
Movie star Johnny Depp has blamed over-zealous fans for turning him into a housebound recluse.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor famously shuns the limelight and deliberately avoids red carpet events and film premieres.

He admits he prefers to stay at home in a "dark room" - and insists he struggles to deal with the attention of fans when he is mobbed wherever he goes.

Depp tells the U.K.'s Daily Telegraph, "You don't ever get used to that kind of thing. That's why I hardly ever leave my house. I don't go anywhere. I understand what it's about but there's only so much of that s...
