My Grade: (B-). I was told repeatedly, that the twists and turns of "Derailed" (2002) and "The Skeleton Key" (2005), would knock my socks off. "The Skeleton Key" still remains the one film that had a twist that I didn't see coming. I'm going to change things up a bit. Instead of reviewing the entire movie, I decided to concentrate solely on the infamous Third Act. "A Perfect Getaway" is a solid film that is using "A jaw-dropping climax" and "A shocking ending that will blow you away!" as the hooks that Rogue Pictures hopes lures in the big fishes. "A Perfect Getaway" has a nice twist that instantly kicks the film into high gear. But the mouse trap failed in its attempt to snag any of my body parts. A wise man once told me, "It's not what a person says, it's how they say it." This method proved successful when I sniffed out the culprit, or culprits. A second viewing is great if you're a fan of eye can candy, or tying up any loose ends, but it's not necessary. Writer and Director, David Twohy does a good job of holding the attention of the audience. His twisted, tangled web of mystery is good to the very last drop. He forces you to pay very close attention to details. The entire cast shines bright. Cliff (Steve Zahn), Cleo (Marley Shelton), (Gina (Kiele Sanchez) and Nick (Timothy Olyphant) are at the top of their games. They not only have sex appeal, but they can act as well.
