Outta Time Review
This fast-paced, well-structured, breezy action-adventure belies its low budget and showcases a feisty cast that charms the viewer past the occasional plot pothole (how does David's best friend Juancho keep showing up at opportune moments?). Mario_Lopez does a fine job in the lead, but his supporting cast -- particularly Nancy O'Dell as a zany, sarcastic MD and the luminous Ali_Landry in a small but vital role as a rebellious debutante -- works wonders with a fairly interesting script. Action set pieces include a daring jump from a cable onto a moving semi-truck, a high dive from a helicopter into a lake, an exploding pick-up truck, and several firefights with Uzis, all competently rendered and expertly edited. Sure, Outta Time is an indie B-movie, but it makes is aspirations clear. Action fans won't be disappointed. Buzz McClain, Rovi
