Quentin Tarantino Reveals His Best And Worst Of 2011

January 16th, 2012 3:29pm EST
Quentin Tarantino
The highly acclaimed Reservoir Dogs director, Quentin Tarantino, recently released a list of his Top 11 favorite movies of 2011, via The Quentin Tarantino Archives. The list is extremely varied, including a bunch of both mainstream and indie films. Although, some entries are quite unexpected, for example, The Three Musketeers was Tarantino’s 11th favorite movie. The number 1 spot was awarded to Woody Allen’s charming, Midnight in Paris, a complete opposite film compared to that of his favorite in 2010, a la, Toy Story 3.

Alas, with the good, always comes the bad and so Tarantino has also i...

Interview: 'Our Idiot Brother' Director Jesse Peretz On Paul Rudd, Emotional Truths And What He Loves Doing Most

December 5th, 2011 11:30am EST
Our Idiot Brother
When one thinks of actor Paul Rudd these days, comedy definitely comes to mind. But in the new Rudd outing "Our Idiot Brother" (out now on DVD/Blu-ray from The Weinstein Company and Anchor Bay Entertainment), thanks to Director Jesse Peretz there is also a definite dramatic sweetness that adds a unique touch to the surprisingly endearing film. The movie tells the story of joyful idealist Ned (played by Rudd) who ends up newly involved in the lives of his three very different but equally uptight sisters, played by Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel and Emil Mortimer. Add to that a supportin...

Paul Rudd: 'A Male A** Shot Is The Cheapest & Best Laugh Ever'

September 15th, 2011 9:53am EDT
Paul Rudd
Paul Rudd finds male nudity in movies hilarious - except when it's his bare bottom on show.

He explained, "I'm a big fan of movie nudity. A male ass shot is the cheapest and best laugh ever. But it's mortifying to do. When I showed my butt in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, all I could think was, 'This is going to be up on all those big screens.' I was very self-conscious about doing it."

Rudd most recently starred in "Our Idiot Brother" about scruffy idealist Ned who wreaks havoc on the lives of his mother and three sisters, Miranda (Elizabeth Banks), Natalie (Zooey Deschanel), and Liz (Emily Mo...

'The Help' Once Again Wins Weekend Box Office

August 29th, 2011 9:22am EDT
The Help
The movie adaptation of Kathyrn Stockett's bestseller "The Help" has scored a second week at the top of the box office.

The movie debuted behind blockbuster "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" when it was released earlier this month, but it has become the sleeper hit of the summer, grossing more than $96 million in America alone.

Thanks mainly to Hurricane Irene on America's east coast, it only earned $14.3 million over the weekend to take the top spot.

Zoe Saldana's new film "Colombiana" is second and the "Planet of the Apes" prequel comes in third.

Debuts from "Don't Be Afraid of the...

'Two Jews On Film' By Joan Alperin-Schwartz: Paul Rudd is Ned Rochlin, an organic farmer, who sees the good in everyone. So when a policeman comes up to him at a local Farmers Market and begs Ned to sell him some weed, he's only too happy to oblige. Fashion Fails: Julianne Moore, Zooey Deschanel, Olivia Munn

August 22nd, 2011 12:00pm EDT
Julianne Moore
No one said simple would be easy, and the ladies in this week's fashion fails are proving it by falling flat on the red carpet - while wearing just black and white outfits.

Seems like a few people are trying to big back huge bows on dresses, something that hasn't been in style since the early 90s. Julianne Moore wore the above dress to the reunion of 90s movie Big Lebowski, but she still looked out of place!

Zooey Deschanel can't decide if she wants to be prim and proper (the dress) or laid back and natural (the hair) while at the premiere of Our Idiot Brother. Either way, those shoulde...

Zooey Deschanel Looks Like A Clown At 'Our Idiot Brother' Premiere

August 17th, 2011 8:16am EDT
Zooey Deschanel
Zooey Deschanel is usually cute as a button, but we do not approve of her look at the "Our Idiot Brother" premiere in Los Angeles yesterday.

The actress wore a black and white dress with a huge ruffled collar paired with heavy eye make-up. Do you think she looks ready for the circus?

In the film, scruffy idealist Ned (Paul Rudd) wreaks havoc on the lives of his mother (Shirley Knight) and three sisters, Miranda (Elizabeth Banks), Natalie (Deschanel), and Liz (Emily Mortimer), while overstaying his welcome in each of their homes and voicing his opinions when they aren't wanted.

Rashida Jones: 'I Had To Get Mouth-To-Mouth Resuscitation From Rip Torn'

May 22nd, 2011 6:07pm EDT
Rashida Jones
Parks and Recreation star Rashida Jones steams up the June issue of GQ magazine and discusses her hit NBC show and her latest film.

The 35-year-old actress - and daughter of legendary music producer Quincy Jones - speaks highly of her Parks and Recreation castmates, but given the context of a sexy GQ photo shoot, her words don't exactly come out right.

"Every week, someone on that show will tickle me in a new and fun way. Wow, that sounds really bad. Please put that next to a topless picture of me in GQ," she says.

Rashida plays Zooey Deschanel's lesbian girlfriend in the upcoming comedy...

Rashida Jones Liked Kissing Zooey Deschanel, Didn't See Timberlake's Junk

May 19th, 2011 9:58am EDT
Rashida Jones
"Parks and Recreations" star Rashida Jones recently told The Advocate that she really liked kissing Zooey Deschanel in "Our Idiot Brother." But she refuses to stop fantasizing about Ricky Martin.

Some interesting tidbits:

On her crush, Ricky Martin, coming out:

I took it pretty personally. I felt betrayed. No, I was actually really happy, because I know it's incredibly difficult for a pop star to come out — especially as a Latino, a community where there can be a lot of homophobia. What he did was incredibly brave. But he's a hottie, and I like thinking he still wants to have sex with me...
