Liza Minnelli is planning a spectacular return to the big screen by writing a new movie for herself to star in. The 60-year-old isn't ready for a biopic yet - instead she's planning a musical extravaganza modern day version of her hit Cabaret, set in New York City.

Singing legend Liza Minnelli is set to star in an episode of crime series Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The star, 59, will play a retired beauty queen whose aspiring model daughter is murdered on Halloween in a November episode entitled "Masquerade."
