The Notting Hill star welcomed the tot in early October, although further details regarding the birth and the child's mother have yet to be revealed.

A representative for Grant tells WENN, "I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl. He and the mother had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive. He and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms."

How Ryan Gosling Resurrected The Movie Star

September 14th, 2011 11:00am EDT
gosling
Movie critics, driven to understandable cynicism by the onslaught of unnecessary remakes (there is no reason for another "Footloose") and re-imaginings of every superhero from the Green Lantern to a hammer-wielding Norse god, have declared the movie star extinct.  I think the stellar year actor Ryan Gosling, 30, is having is inspiring proof that the existence of the movie star in this entertainment climate is still possible.

For this lover of pop culture, a movie star is more than someone who makes a lot of films and walks a lot of red carpets.  It’s Julia Roberts in “Pretty Woman,” “Th...

Hugh Grant
Hugh Grant has won the right to review evidence in Britain's phone-hacking scandal to see whether his own voicemails were intercepted.

The British actor believes his messages were listened to by a private investigator working for now defunct U.K. tabloid the News of the World, which was shut down earlier this month as the scandal hit the headlines.

Grant has been fighting for the right to see police evidence from a previous investigation into phone-hacking in a bid to find out whether he fell victim to the illicit practice.

He even went to the trouble of launching his own undercover in...

Hugh Grant
Hugh Grant is urging British Prime Minister David Cameron to expand an official investigation into the country's tabloid industry, fearing U.K. authorities will conspire to "make this inquiry insufficient."

An inquiry into the illegal interception of cell phone voicemail messages by a private investigator working for Britain's News of the World has hit headlines after it emerged families of murder victims and those affected by the 2005 London Underground bombings may have been targeted.

However, the Notting Hill star admits he's "panicking" that government officials conducting the probe...

October 11th, 2010 2:13pm EDT
Rhys Ifans
Welsh actor Rhys Ifans is calling for cannabis to be legalized in the U.K. - branding the drug "one of life's little pleasures."

The Notting Hill star, who portrays infamous drug smuggler Howard Marks in upcoming biopic Mr. Nice, is adamant the criminalization of marijuana is "idiotic" and creates more problems. And Ifans is urging the British government to consider controlling pot in the same way as tobacco and alcohol.

He tells Britain's FHM magazine, "I agree with Howard on this. You look at any culture and prohibition has invariably been an unmitigated failure. It is just idiotic to...

Happy 50th Birthday, Hugh Grant!

Hugh Grant
Hollywood's favorite bumbling Brit, Hugh Grant, is the toast of Thursday as he turns 50.

The "Four Weddings & A Funeral" star is so beloved among film fans, he's mostly forgiven for his liaison with prostitute Divine Brown 13 years ago - a scandal that would have ruined many men.

Instead, Grant bounced back with a string of hit movies like "Notting Hill," "Two Weeks Notice" and "Bridget Jones's Diary," in which he played the perfect cad.

Away from Hollywood, he has dated two of the world's great English beauties in Elizabeth Hurley and Jemima Khan and he's a huge fan of golf, soccer and ...

SJP & Hugh Grant
"She was very kind to me, very nurturing. She used to do my manicure, she was disgusted at my English nails and used to come and file them for me." Sarah Jessica Parker served as Hugh Grant's personal beautician on the set of their movie Did You Hear About The Morgans?

Hugh admits he was doped up on anti-anxiety pills during the filming of Music and Lyrics to combat his crippling panic attacks. The actor has been candid about his chronic anxiety, which began when he made 1999's Notting Hill.

Another great quote from Hugh: "When I see myself on screen, I see a withered old lesbian."

Shocking music deaths
Heart attacks. Plane crashes. Car crashes. Drug overdoses. Murder. Over the years, these have become some of the most common causes of the often shocking deaths in the music industry. On a lighter note, some might argue that even ham sandwiches have been involved.

Back in 1999, Roberts was dating actor Benjamin Bratt and revealed she didn't shave her armpits because he found it a "turn on". The Pretty Woman star is ...
