Mission Impossible III star Michelle Monaghan is never recognized in pubic, despite having starred in a series of high-profile movies. The actress has been appearing in trailers for upcoming blockbuster Mission: Impossible III for months now but has yet to be spotted as Tom Cruise's new on-screen love interest.

According to a new Harris poll, 20 percent of U.S. adults say Crash should win the Best Picture Oscar this year. Only 13 percent believe Brokeback Mountain should win, followed by 10 percent who each say Good Night and Good Luck and Munich should take home the award. The fifth nominee Capote has the support of just 4 percent of adults.

This week on DVD: The Weather Man, Domino, Rent and North Country. 'The Weather Man' centers on Nicolas Cage as a forecaster who struggles to get a grip on a life that's spinning out of control. 'Domino' is inspired by the life of Domino Harvey, daughter of legendary actor Laurence Harvey and a former model who rejected her privileged Beverly Hills life to become a bounty hunter.

* Neve Campbell has settled down in London after becoming engaged to new love, British actor John Light. The pair began dating last year after appearing together in Investigating Sex and got engaged before Christmas. They now live in the trendy borough of Islington - and Campbell is relieved to be rid of "culture-free" Los Angeles. She says, "I've been culturally starved for 10 years in Los Angeles. I love that there's so much going on here."

Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron is convinced she will miss out on a second Best Actress Academy Award at next month's Oscars. The star, who has been nominated for her performance as struggling single mother and harassed mineworker Josey Aimes in North Country, doesn't believe her performance matches those of category rivals Judi Dench and Reese Witherspoon.

As expected, Brokeback Mountain is a favorite among Oscar voters, rounding up eight nominations, including those for best motion picture, director, actor, and supporting actor and actress. Crash and Good Night, And Good Luck follow with six nominations each. Walk the Line was surprisingly shut out of the best motion picture category, but the film earned five nominations, as did Capote, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Munich. British thriller The Constant Gardener has been nominated for 10 BAFTAs from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. The adaptation of the John Le Carre novel, which stars Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz, is up for Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress and seven other awards. Ang Lee's gay cowboy film Brokeback Mountain and racial drama Crash both received nine nominations.

Nominations for the 12th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards for outstanding performances in 2005 in five film and eight primetime television categories were just announced. Brokeback Mountain leads the pack in film with four nominations, followed by Capote and Crash (each with three nominations).

The 17th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival will honor Shirley MacLaine with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Festival’s annual Awards Gala. This year’s other honorees include Charlize Theron with the Desert Palm Achievement Award (Actress) and Jake Gyllenhaal with the Desert Palm Achievement Award (Actor).
