LOS ANGELES (AP) - ''Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End'' ruled the seven seas with a record $139.8 million domestically over the long Memorial Day weekend, lifting its worldwide total to $404 million.

Spider-Man 3 has taken top spot in the U.K. box office chart for a second week. The third installment of the Spider-Man franchise took $11.2 million over the weekend, adding to the $23.6 million it took on its first weekend. 28 Weeks Later, the sequel to zombie thriller 28 Days Later, made its debut at number two - followed by Bridge To Terabithia in third place.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Even when he takes a huge fall, Spider-Man comes out on top. Sony's Spider-Man 3 took in $60 million in its second weekend, a hefty 60 percent drop from its record debut a week earlier but good enough to easily outdistance the competition and remain the No. 1 movie, according to studio estimates Sunday.

Spider-Man 3 has topped the U.K. box office, recording one of the highest-grossing opening weekends ever. The third installment of the Spider-Man franchise took $23.6 million this weekend, while family film Bridge To Terabithia was second, with takings of $2 million.
