'Mrs. Doubtfire' Sequel Confirmed With Robin Williams On Board
1993 hit comedy "Mrs. Doubtfire" is getting a sequel. Robin Williams will reprise his role as divorced dad Daniel Hillard, an out of work voice-over actor who dresses up as an old lady and gets a job as his kids' nanny.

Chris Columbus will direct, and "Elf" writer David Berenbaum will pen the script, according to TheWrap.com.

The film made $441 million internationally. Williams won a Golden Globe for "Best Actor," and the film was named "Best Picture" (Musical/Comedy).

Robin Williams is returning to the big screen for a follow-up to his hit 1993 comedy Mrs. Doubtfire.

Reports suggest the comic is set to reprise his role of divorced dad Daniel Hillard, who cross-dresses as a nanny so he can see his kids.

The movie was a box office sensation, grossing $441 million (£277 million) worldwide, and studio bosses at Fox 2000 are hoping to find similar success with Mrs. Doubtfire 2.

An insider tells TheWrap.com that Chris Columbus will also return to direct the movie, while a script will be penned by Elf writer David Berenbaum.

Last week, I chose to see "Public Enemies," which is a decision I definitely do not regret. Johnny Depp is electric as John Dillinger, oozing the charm and finesse of the real life American bank robber and folk hero. Christian Bale also does a solid job as the FBI agent Melvin Purvis, a man singularly obsessed with catching Dillinger.

Animated movie Shrek has topped a poll of kids films most loved by adults.

The 2001 animated adventure beat out competition from Johnny Depp's Pirates of the Caribbean and Pixar/Disney movie Finding Nemo, which claimed second and third places respectively.
