Literary Characters=Oscar Love

March 19th, 2009 10:28am EDT

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has a long history of awarding actors who portray real people. For example: Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles (Ray), Charlize Theron as Aileen Wuornos (Monster), Hilary Swank as Brandon Teena (Boys Don't Cry), Forest Whitaker as Idi Amin (The Last King Of Scotland), Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II (The Queen), and most recently Sean Penn as Harvey Milk (Milk).

Mainly, they've refused to reveal who will be presenting Oscars this year and have gone so far as to forbid its presenters from appearing on the red carpet. Why? Because they think fashionistas will b...

February 6th, 2009 11:51am EST
Robert Downey Jr.
Let's be honest, men's fashion isn't nearly as much fun as women's, especially when it comes to getting all gussied up in formal garb. For men, the pot can pretty much be boiled down to three basic variables: 1. Tie shape 2. To cummerbund or not to cummerbund and 3. Level of fashion bravado. So it is totally understandable for male celebrities to become jaded with the limited realm of prosaic male attire and seek other methods of adding a little snazzle dazzle to their personal senses of style.

Many men dabble in self-expression via varying facial hair patterns - a.k.a. "manscaping." ...
