'Tangled' Review: Disney's Magic Is Back With Charming, Rousing Songs & Storyline

Disney has had some hits and misses with animated films in recent memory. Sure, the mighty house of mouse made “Beauty and The Beast” “Aladdin” and “The Lion King” but “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” was sad, “Pocahontas” was oddly animated, “Hercules” was grotesque, and “Mulan” was lacking in song quality. The less said about “Home on The Range” the better.

So Disney went to CGI animated films and tried to play catch up to Pixar. The results thus far have been mixed. “Meet the Robinsons” was cute, “Bolt” was adorable, “Chicken Little” was middling, and nothing really captured the 90's magic...

Rob Thomas Ready To Rock With Second Solo Album, Out June 30

Emblem/Atlantic recording artist Rob Thomas has announced the forthcoming release of his second solo album, titled Cradlesong. Due on June 30th, the album features the first single, "Her Diamonds," which hit radio and video outlets in mid-April. Once again produced by Matt Serletic, Cradlesong is the eagerly anticipated follow-up to Thomas' 2005 solo debut - the #1, RIAA platinum …Something To Be.

Which Animated Films Will Be Nominated For An Oscar?

It's almost here. The Superbowl of Hollywood (a.k.a. The Academy Awards) will be held for its 80th run on February 24. With the announcement ceremony on January 22, I would like to take a moment to look at one of my favorite categories: Best Animated Feature.

Some real gems have been nominated in this category in the past (i.e. Spirited Away, The Incredibles, The Triplets of Belleville, etc.). For this year's Oscars, there are 12 animated features that have been submitted for consideration:
