Keanu Reeves won't be reprising his role as time traveler Bill S. Preston Esq. in a remake of 1989 cult comedy Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Reeves found fame starring alongside Alex Winter in the movie, as well as the 1991 follow up Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey.

According to internet reports, a remake is being planned with an updated script and a modern spin. However, The Matrix actor won't be taking part. He insists, "If there is (a remake), I'm not there."

Soccer star-turned-movie tough guy Vinnie Jones is the frontrunner to land the lead in Guy Ritchie's movie adaptation of his The Gamekeeper comic book series. Jeff Parker, the acclaimed writer, who has helped turn the director's strong and silent hunter, Brock, into a comic book hit, is keen for Jones to take the lead in the film Ritchie is making with The Matrix mogul Joel Silver.

Film maker Ridley Scott has proclaimed the science fiction genre dead. The British Blade Runner director claims the likes of Independence Day, The War Of The Worlds and The Matrix movies are pale in comparison to his 1982 epic and the "best" sci-fi ever, 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Speaking at a 25th anniversary screening of Blade Runner at the Venice Film Festival, Scott says, "There's nothing original. We've seen it all before. Been there. Done it. There is an over-reliance on special effects as well as weak story lines."

The dancer-turned-actor was due to appear in The Night Watchman - with rumors abounding Federline was "appearing opposite" the Matrix star.
