The Strange And Surprising Career Of Cameron Diaz

June 23rd, 2011 1:00pm EDT
Cameron Diaz
Cameron Diaz is anything but a predictable actor. This Friday, “Bad Teacher” opens and will showcase Diaz’s R-rated comedy skills opposite Justin Timerlake and Jason Segel, an alumnus of the Judd Apatow school of raunchy humor. Directed by Jake Kasdan (“Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story”), Diaz stars as the world’s worst teacher who would rather get high in her car than teach her kids anything. While most moviegoers see her as just a pretty face who pops up in mediocre films, Diaz has had an incredibly unique and varied career in Hollywood over the last two decades.

Her breakthrough role ca...

With this in mind, and with a very real interest in keeping our inner child alive (which barely survived Transformers 2), check out some helpful guidelines for anyone looking to make a movie based on toys.

Pick the right toy. Just because some to...

It's rare that commercials are actually right, but today they are when they claim that a film based on the "Most-Acclaimed Graphic Novel of All Time" will be released.

That film, and novel, is "Watchmen" of course. The movie comes from the 12-part comic series from Alan Moore ("From Hell", "V for Vendetta") that was quickly packaged into a graphic novel upon its completion. Many consider this series the greatest in the history of comics and the subsequent novel actually made it onto Time Magazine's 100 Greatest Novels of the Century List. Needless to say, there's no doubting its acc...

Jim Carrey
Jim Carrey stunned the cast and crew of his latest film by urinating on set. The Mask star infuriated his colleagues when he undid his fly and urinated during a scene in upcoming The Number 23 even though it was not in the script. The outlandish actor has been branded "unpredictable" by co-workers from several of his latest films due to his "bizarre behavior and on-set tantrums".

Director of Fun With Dick and Jane Dean Parisot now calls the film "Fun With Jane" - ...
