Movie tough guy Danny Trejo took home an odd souvenir from the set of the Machete sequel - co-star Lady Gaga's kitchen goods.

The healthy pop superstar turned her back on the catering available for the cast and crew and decided to cook up her own dinners while working on Machete Kills - and leading man Trejo became fascinated by her culinary skills.

He says, "She cooks her own food - she does, like, steamed vegetables and good stuff... I used to like walking by with a lamb chop."

And when she left the set, Trejo asked if he could keep her cookware.

Lindsay Lohan's Character Written Out Of 'Machete Kills'

Lindsay Lohan's ailing career has been dealt yet another blow as her gun-toting character in Machete has been written out of the film's sequel.

Director Robert Rodriguez gave Lohan a chance to return to the big screen in his violent 2010 film, but the troubled star was cut from the trailer and the end credits after she was convicted of violating the terms of her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest.

The filmmaker has now confirmed that Lohan's 'nun with a gun' character April will not feature in his upcoming follow-up, Machete Kills.

Director Robert Rodriguez revealed in a post on his Twitter page that Lady Gaga has been cast in his upcoming Machete sequel, Machete Kills.

Mother Monster will make her acting debut in the role of Lady Chameleon, and Rodriguez posted the official production photo along with his announcement Thursday.

"Yes its true," Gaga said via Twitter. "I will be making my debut as an actress ln the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane."

Jessica Alba had to go to the hospital after dropping a plate on her ankle at home Thursday night.

The Machete star wasn't feeling very good when she woke up with a swollen ankle on Friday morning, and she detailed her pain with friends on Twitter.

She wrote, "Swollen ankle - a plate fell on my ankle last night... Hurts." She also posted a photo of her bruises.
Alba later posted a photo of her ankle being X-rayed.

Mel Gibson is set to star in the sequel to Robert Rodriguez's violent 2010 action film Machete, according to a report.

The Lethal Weapon actor is in advanced talks to play a supporting role in Machete Kills, reports Deadline.com.

If Gibson does sign on, he won't be the only big movie star to make a cameo appearance in the action film, which stars Danny Trejo as the tough titular character.

'Machete' Directors Sued

Directors Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis have been named in a new breach of contract lawsuit over allegations they stole the idea for their 2010 movie Machete.

Yvonne Delarosa claims she met with Maniquis in 2005 and shared her plot ideas for a movie about a man who seeks revenge by embarking on a killing spree with a machete.

According to her legal documents, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, her storyline then became the basis for the filmmakers' bloody action movie starring Danny Trejo as Machete Cortez - but she didn't receive any money for the project.

Rapper Kanye West is set to show off his acting talents alongside Bruce Willis in a new film about basketball superstar Kobe Bryant.
