Blu-ray Review: 'Lone Survivor'
Four men down but not out in a war torn land – mission to escape and survive. We’re taking a look at the new to Blu-ray film "Lone Survivor" out now from Universal Home Entertainment. We examine the escape plan below.

The Flick: I don’t think the marketing for "Lone Survivor" was quite on par as the film seemed to just looked to be a mindless war action film. What...

Box Office Predictions: ‘Robocop’ Or ‘Lego’?

Box Office Predictions: ‘Robocop’ Or ‘Lego’?
1) The Lego Movie- 47M Weekend, 126M Total

I’m predicting a decent drop for The Lego Movie, as the winter storm barraging the country seems to be affecting box office already. Many theatres in affected areas are closed, and some theatres will see limited attendance anyway as people don’t want to go outside. For those that do, I’m sure The Lego Movie will remain a top choice.

2) Robocop- 21M Weekend, 25M Total

Robocop won’t beat The Lego Movie. I know I made it seem like it might, but it won’t. Sorry. I wouldn’t have predicted it anyway, and then I saw the mid-week grosses (Robocop opened...

Ride Along
Ice Cube and Kevin Hart's new comdey Ride Along has set a new record for the month of January at the box office.

The movie pulled in $41.2 million, making it the highest January opening ever; and "Ride Along" also passed J.J. Abrams 2008 sci-fi thriller Cloverfield as the top-grossing film over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.

Mark Wahlberg's war picture Lone Survivor falls to second, adding $22 million to its four-week total of $79 million.

Animated feature The Nut Job premiered at number three, with a strong $20.5 million share of the weekend box office, while action flick J...

Mark Wahlberg's 'Lone Survivor' Easily Wins Weekend Box Office

Lone Survivor
"Lone Survivor" easily won the weekend box office, taking home $38.5 million. The film centers on four Navy SEALs on a covert mission to neutralize a high-level al-Qaeda operative and who are ambushed by the enemy in the mountains of Afghanistan.

Mark Wahlberg, Taylor Kitsch and Emile Hirsch star.

Wahlberg refused to read the book that inspired the action drama. He recently explained: "I don't read the books before I make the movies. I've been in situations many times where you've adapted a piece of material and you always feel like something's been left out. I thought (director) Pete (Be...

Box Office Predictions: 'Frozen' Faces Off Against Oscar Expansions

Box Office Predictions: 'Frozen' Faces Off Against Oscar Expansi
1) Lone Survivor- 18M weekend, 18M total

Mark Wahlberg is a bit more of a bankable lead actor. I’m making a bold prediction here, and it is based off of both Wahlberg’s status, as well as several “like minded films” like The Grey and Act Of Valor that have opened well. Plus, Lone Survivor is based off a book, and a true-story. A pretty great per screen of 42K last weekend showed that there is interest in this film.

2) August Osage County- 14M weekend, 14M total

27K per screen last weekend, plus lead actresses Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep should help propel August Osage County to a soli...
