Hilary Duff Is Writing Young Adult Novels

Singer/actress Hilary Duff is following in the footsteps of Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling by penning a children's book.

The 22 year old will work on a series of young adult novels with publishers at Simon & Schuster.

Duff's first book, "Elixir", is scheduled to be published in October, and will feature the harrowing adventures of international photojournalist Clea Raymond.

The singer, who has written about her own parents' separation in songs "Stranger" and "Gypsy Woman", also plans to put pen to paper for a non-fiction book about children coping with divorce. That book is scheduled for...

Singer/actress Hilary Duff has landed herself another TV role - she is set to make an appearance in Ghost Whisperer alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt.

The Lizzie Maguire star was recently handed the lead in new sitcom Barely Legal, about a hot shot teen who becomes a lawyer at 18. And now she has scored another TV appearance with a role in Love Hewitt's spooky drama series, according to Usmagazine.com.

Duff will appear in an episode titled Thrilled to Death, in which she plays a woman of mystery who is linked to the death of a man in a freak accident.

Disney star Selena Gomez is on her way to becoming the next teen movie mogul after forming her own production company.

The 16 year old has formed July Moon Productions, a partnership with XYZ Films, to develop at least two films for the actress/singer to star in and produce.

The deal comes hot on the heals of a decision by Disney bosses to adapt her hit TV program Wizards of Waverly Place for the big screen - following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus' upcoming Hannah Montana film, and Hilary Duff's 2003 The Lizzie McGuire Movie.

Disney star Selena Gomez is heading for the big screen - her hit TV show Wizards Of Waverly Place is to be made into a movie.
