10 Movie Sequels We Never Asked For

October 19th, 2012 1:07pm EDT
Paranormal Activity 4
Hindsight is 20/20, but sometimes you know a sequel is going to stink. Even worse is when it's a sequel to something that didn't need a sequel. Now, the jury isn't out on Paranormal Activity 4, and we're sure it's going to make a mint (the last two broke midnight showing records) - but isn't the "found house security film of paranormal event" genre kind of played out? Here are 10 sequels we never asked for:

Yearly Saw installments: Okay, so the first few films in the series used great twists, innovative traps, and serious gore. By the time we were three films in and we realized this woul...

November 21st, 2008 10:09am EST
Reese Witherspoon
Even Oscar winning actresses like Reese Witherspoon have made a few films that aren't worth seeing. Reese is adorable, bubbly and likeable as an actress and as a person. She's probably best known for her role as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde because no one could have played that part better than she did. However, there were a few stale moments in her career where her movies failed to leave a mark in Hollywood.

THE WORST

Just Like Heaven- This 2005 film co-starring Mark Ruffalo was so far fetched it was even hard to believe as a movie. Reese played a doctor who went into a coma afte...

Halle Berry in Things We Lost In The Fire
Not too long ago Warner Bros. president of production, Jeff Robinov, stated, "We are no longer doing movies with women in the lead." Apparently, Robinov won't even look at a script with a female lead. Is this man spewing forth misogynistic quackery, or is he, as a businessman, simply stating the obvious - that women no longer come with built-in audiences, opening weekend numbers, and box office success?

Ticking off the names of guaranteed male money makers is easy: Will Smith, Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Tom Cruise, Bruce Willis, Jim Carrey, and even behind-the-camera ...

January 18th, 2008 1:45pm EST
Rob Zombie
Over the years many classic movies have been remade. Don't get me wrong, some of those remakes have been really good. But the majority of the movies have been really bad.

These days, special effects are being taken to a whole new level, but that's not always a good thing. One of the main reasons these films are classics is because CGI was in the distant future. People loved the original "Godzilla" because you can see the man in the Godzilla costume crushing a cardboard box, also known as Tokyo.

There are few movies that have scared me, and one of those films was the 1978 movie "Ha...

January 18th, 2006 7:00pm EST
Reese Witherspoon
Golden Globe winner Reese Witherspoon is keen to make a third Legally Blonde movie, but only if producers agree to let her sing. The actress relished her melodious role as June Carter Cash in Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line and now wants to incorporate her vocal talents into all her movies.

And after watching pal Renee Zellweger in classic musical Chicago, Witherspoon is considering a musical version of the teen comedy that made her famous.

She says, "Maybe she'll sing? I would love to do a musical. I watched my friend Renee do it so well in Chicago."

Witherspoon played Ell...
